Strength:

rear defrost works good still- and its got lots of room inside- not quite enough to live in unfortunately, which I may have to do, cause it's stolen all my money.

Weakness:

The Head gasket was replaced before I bought the car, so I guess I'm the only one who didn't have that problem, but I got mine, don't worry. The water pump went, the heater core went, the Rack-o-pinion (thats how it sounds- don't actually know how to spell it- only that I almost died then had to sell my first born to fix it), its got all sorts of electrical problems and the locks and ignititon constantly stick. This car is reknown among mechanics as being a serious pain in the as*(can I say as*?) to work on- and yes, I know it's old- but this is ridiculous. When I bought the car, it looked in great shape, I had an inspection, it had been well maintained ect. All in all- this car is a weakness, its cold, its broken, its a waste of time, a parking space, and lots and lots of money. Instead of selling it and having it plaugue some poor high school shmuk until he can save up enough from his Wal-Mart paychecks to buy something new, I'm taking it to a derby.

Whatever you do, I don't care how cheap it is or how good of a deal you THINK you're getting- do not buy this car, you are making a horrible, horrible mistake.

Strength:

nice looking, i have had no problem with the handling, smooth ride, plenty of room.

Weakness:

Price of labor to change the oil pan gasket. :-(

My dad bought this from a friend in August. He did a lot of work to it, most of it was just for precautions. I love this car. Only thing I have had to pay for is the head gasket ($500), a headlight, and an antifreeze cap...Currently, it needs an oil pan gasket and the motor mount needs to be replaced.

head gasket- almost every review I've read about this model has to do with head gasket problems. Hello-recall!

I bought this car used three years ago and realized, not a week after I bought it, the head gasket was leaking oil into my coolant. I have been driving it for 3 years like this and its just now starting to overheat when I idle. Other then that, its been a good car.

Strength:

Reliable, and good on gas - can go about a week on normal driving before next fill up. Gread for road trips, smooth ride.

Weakness:

Need tie rod replaced, have to force the car to accelerate, and acceleration is even slower when AC is on

I bought this car from my sister-in-law last year. It had over 100,000 miles on it and it currently has 163,000 miles on it now. If did have oil problems when I first bought it and I do notice that the oil gets low between oil changes, but I don't usually put oil in it unless I totally go over my next scheduled oil change. I do need my tie rod replaced, but all in all this is a good car. This my first car.

Strength:

Takes abuse very well ok gas mileage Large tires

Weakness:

Oil related problems VERY SLOW with the 2.0 engine coupled to the automatic 4speed transmission. Handles like a vacuum cleaner Braking performance can be inconsistent (this is probobly the brake pads fault however) Cheap interior construction Oil pan is lowest part of car, so if you bottom out you can hurt it Fat person seats, very unsupportive on corners Engine bay is VERY cluttered and lacks throttle cable adjustments. Engine makes HORRIBLE noises when asked to work hard

We purchased this car when it was only a few years old but already had 60,000 miles on it from the previous owner. After we got it the front main seal went out, after replacing that the headgasket went out, then the front main seal again left us followed by an oil pan gasket gone bad. In the last year however, nothing has gone wrong wiht the car. It's transmission is starting to die. There is about a 1/2 second pause between the time you push the pedal down and the rpms go up and the time that the transmission catches and the car takes off. This can be VERY unnerving when you are trying to turn onto a busy street since it's not an instantaneous thing. It's much more of a delayed action. It has quite a bit of grip from it's relatively wide tires. It's handling is Horrible though, it will understeer relentlessly unless you deliberately cause oversteer through strong trailbraking. It's not a very good drivers car, at speeds the steering wheel vibrates and the controls all become very floaty.

Strength:

After rebuilding the head gaskets and suspension, you can add longevity with regular maintenence.

Weakness:

Weak brake system;most vehicle have no ABS. Oil usage; between recommended oil changes using Mopar products, you still have to add oil. Why is that? Suspension;frequent tightening of bolts on the under carriage. Frequent check of ball joints and tie rods.

I would like to thank the D&C Corp for creating a car that literally taught me the dynamics of engine and auto repair. Understanding that in order to properly maintain a vehicle, routine maintenance is mandatory. As a previous owner of Honda,Chevy, and Mazda, I would never believed that you had rebuild the Plymouth Breeze engine and suspension. As a women,I appreciate the learning experience. Never again shall I waist valuable time and finances on D&C autos.

Strength:

Beautiful car! People are always amazed when I tell them the miles the car has on it. This car handles just as good as it looks. I just bought a new Durango, when I wasn't offered much for a trade in on this car I just kept it.

Weakness:

I do add oil to it between every oil change starting from the day I bought it. I spoke to the Dodge dealership about the oil mysteriously vanishing, they told me that brand new dodge's "loose" oil and not to worry. I know it is not leaking, I have a cement driveway with no oil spots.

75,000 miles- Head Gasget repair I bought this car with 60,000 miles on it five years ago. It now has over 180,000 miles on it. I cannot complain about this car whatsoever. I have performed scheduled maintenance, and except for a head gasget leaking oil, the car has held up exceptionally well.

This car was purchased used with only 5,000 miles. Thank goodness we purchases an extended warrenty. This was my second car, my first being an 89 Dodge Shadow that I purchased for $3500 with $69,000. I had had the car for less than a year when I had to replace the front brake pads. Unfortunatly I did not catch it in time and had to replace the roters also. Then every 6000 to 10,000 miles I have had to replace the pads again. And the wear unevenly. My father is very savy with autos so he has done most of the repairs along with regular oil changes and maintance. After replacing the pads twice I took it into the dealer to see what the problem was. They said that there was nothing wrong and it must be my braking. Well my previos car that I had for 3 years never had any problems nor did the family car that I drove for a couple of years. My transmission went out, my head gasket had to be replace, there was a crack in my exhaust manifold, the water pump had to be replaced. This was all before 75,000 miles. My father, who has been changing brake pads for years has never seen this before. We have even gone as far as the replace the calibers and rear brakes. This time they lasted longer.... I got a whole 12,000 miles this time. This car is the worst that I have owned, an old Dodge Shadow did 10 times better than this piece of junk.

nice style, good engine, very reliable, roomy interior.

Weakness:

none

mileage: 38,000 have had the car since it had 24,000 have had NO problems, change oil regularly and routine maitnance and thats all, i am an Automotive service manager, and i deal with cars everyday, out of all the breezes i have had come in none have had any signifigant problems, dong routine maintance and not driving a car hard is how you keep from having problems, out of all the reviews i have read all of them have sounded like people that dont do routine maintance or just drive cars harder than they are intended to be driven.
