from Reliable Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 Verona Summary: Pretty nice car for the price. Very lush on the inside, with lots of extra gadgets. It's an extremely quiet ride, comparable to the Toyota Camry. Mine is the V6, which has a lot of acceleration to it. However, the transmission takes a few seconds to kick in, so it's kind of scary to pull out into traffic sometimes. We have had problems with the transmission slipping, which the dealer claims to have fixed but we keep having to take it back in. Also, the stereo has controls on the column, and the electrical wiring to that has shorted out, causing our entire stereo to quit working. The dealer had to replace the entire stereo, and it took them a month to get the parts in. Strengths: Very posh and comfortable. Nice ride. Comfortable and quiet. Weaknesses: Problems with the transmission already, and it only has 30,000 miles. I have a feeling the transmission will have to be replaced early on. Electrical problems in the stereo. Similar Products Used: 2002 Oldsmobile Alero--very good until 100,000 miles, then it fell apart; 2000 Cheverolet Malibu--piece of junk, had to replace the brakes every 13,000 miles
