Confusing selection of buttons on the center console
Single engine offered is only a 4-cylinder engine
Ruling: The Acura 2011 TSX Sports Wagon offers a satisfying blend of performance, style and efficiency.
The front-wheel drive TSX is powered by a 201-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission, or a 280-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and five-speed automatic. The auto transmission includes SportShift and steering wheel paddles and is available with the 4-cylinder engine.
The TSX Sports Wagon is well-equipped, with a power moonroof, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity.
Powertrain provides nice balance of power and economy
Comfortable cabin
A luxury car with lots of cargo room
Optional Acura/ELS surround sound system
Dislikes:
5-speed transmission automatic transmission
No V6 or 6-speed manual option for North American market
Navigation system needs to catch up to the competition
Backseat legroom is tight for taller passengers
Ruling: The TSX Sport Wagon marks a return to the cars that Acura should have been making all along. With front-wheel drive, a four-cylinder engine, and automatic-only transmission, it's not trying to compete with the BMW 3-series Touring. Or even the Audi A4 Avant. It is, simply, a well-built compact wagon.
