Review 1 of 181

Price Paid:  $20000.00 from Banks Chev-Olds-GMC

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Astro cardo AWD

Strengths:
Engine is great. AWD fantastic

Weaknesses:
Leg room is limited and seats not comfortable in cargo van.

Summary:
Can't kill it. Co. has 3 of them. Mine has 190 G and does not use any oil despite going 20 G on a 3 G oil. Mileage is fair @ 18 and always @ 70 MPH. 4.3 L V6 is bullet proof. Got 97 G on original Bridgewtone tires. I drive in Green Mountains of VT in all weather. Snow has never stopped me, and the AWD is amazing. Van is really abused and keeps on truckin.

Review 2 of 181

Price Paid:  $19000.00 from LYNCH CHEVY

Strengths:
PLENTY OF ROOM , STRONG ENGINE, SMOOTH RIDE.

Weaknesses:
THERE ISNT ANY

Summary:
GREAT VAN, LOTS OF ROOM NICE AND HIGH LIKE A BIG VAN. GREAT FOR LONG DRIVES AND CARGO SPACE BETTER THAN A SUV. IF YOU WANT A MINI VAN BUY THIS ONE, AND NOT A SOCCER MOM VAN.

Review 3 of 181

Price Paid:  $24000.00 from Hick's Chevrolet

Strengths:
see above

Weaknesses:
none unless your a penny pincher

Summary:
This was my second new Astro the other was a 93 model. I like the fact it's got plenty of power and rides like a car. If you can't justify the additional gas due to more power and plenty of space this ones not for you. I've had no problems and would recommend the Astro to anyone. I've seen families of five on vacation using the Ford and Chrysler models and they look like their in a sardine can, not with the Astro.

There's not one I haven't driven but if you're going to use a van for it's intended use with 5 or 6 people this ones hard to beat.

Review 4 of 181

Price Paid:  $24000.00 from apple chevy

Strengths:
great looks ,lots of room, awd ,lots of power

Weaknesses:
passenger side needs a little more leg room.transmission shifts a little rough.

Summary:
we love this van. it is the perfect alternative to fill the gap between a mommy mobile and a huge full size van. we have the awd version which is a must in chicago.the word is that chevy will drop this van in 04,we are hoping that is not the case. we would definately buy another one.

Review 5 of 181

Price Paid:  $24000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Chevy Astro LS

Strengths:
Roomy

Weaknesses:
Fit and finish Too much plastic. Other car manufacturers have figured out how to make plastic not look and sound so cheap. General Motors, definitly not on the cutting edge.

Summary:
PURE JUNK!!! Rattles everywhere but mainly in the dash and doors. There is a low frequency rumble somewhere in the back. Wind noise galore. Uncomfortable driver seat that seems to be "designed" for everybody but turned out to be for nobody. The seat front edge hits on the back of the leg a good 3" behind the knee making for painful road trips. The only reason I have possession of this poor excuse for a vehicle is that it''s a company car. The other selections were equally as miserable.
