Price Paid:  $26000.00 from David McDavid

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Quest S

Summary:
We compared this with the Honda and Toyota minivans. The Honda's interior screamed '1996', and the Toyota had the same sized engine as the Nissan with 25 less horse power.

Strengths:
Nice cockpit layout. Good heat and a/c. Easy to walk around inside. Comfortable seats. Great visibility. Haven't gone on many long trips, but was able to observer 25 MPH on a long stretch.

Weaknesses:
The Dealer-David McDavid Nissan of Houston-were complete clowns. There isn't enough room here to explain the problems, but I literally had to STAND ON A TABLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOWROOM AND YELL LIKE A MADMAN TO GET THEM TO DO THEIR JOBS in the following MONTHS after the sale. I will ride the bus before I buy another vehicle from those idiots.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $28995.00 from Tom Eskns Nissan

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Quest

Summary:
Great looking vehicle, roomy, and innovative. We liked the overall appearance and roominess in the vehicle for our three kids (8yr, 5yr, and 1 yr old). Nice and low to ground helps with loading/offloading the kids and grocery, etc. BUT, we've had this thingin the shop 8 times in the last 3 months. We've had isseus with the transmission, leaks around front windshield (gasket problem), the right side passenger door sensor has had to replaced twice already. Most recently, we've noticede that the acceleration is sometime sluggish, and the engines almost dies. After a while, the problem seems to go away. The dealer suggested that we run premium gasoline (had been using mid grade) but that has not made the probelm go away. When this hapens, we;ve noticed a lot of exhaust smoke. On first trip in, service tech replaced throittle sensor...did not fix problem. This time, the repair tech says that the problem may be with the fuel injection system, but is not certain. After changing injectors, problem is STILL happening. The other day I noticed that there was a lot of exhaust residue on my rear panel (next to exhaiust pipe). Service department says nothing is wrong, but engine doesn;t run normally, and gas mileage SUCKS even with premium grade ($3.15 gal) fuel.

Strengths:
nice body styling, handling

Weaknesses:
weird problems that service cannot diagnose and fix after repeated attempts. Gas mileage
