The Firebird has 3 performance choices; a 3.8-liter, 200-hp V6, a 5.7-liter, 305-hp V8 and 5.7-liter, 320-hp V-8. Choose between a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a 4-speed automatic. ABS comes standard.
Summary: I think this is the best looking sports car I have owned. I had a 70 firebird and
it was ok, but it didn''t have the looks of this one or the power. Mine is 335hp and
believe me it goes. So far no problems, but only got a 2000 miles before I put it
up for the winter. It is navy blue metallic with ebony interior.

from GRAND AUTO, CO
Strengths: Power, looks, comfort, handling.
Weaknesses: speeding tickets, insurance.
Summary: I love this car, despite the dealer screwing me over. Never go to Grand Auto in Thorton CO. She will peg the speedometer in 5th. 6th gear is where you get the gas mileage - 28.1 is my best. It is a magnet - babes, curves, cops. The car is decievingly larger than it appears. Doors are long, and it is difficult to get in and out of, but once your in, she is as cozy as a kitten, but a roar instead of a purr.

NOT A V8 (ONLY MODEL WORTH OWNING)
AMERICAN! GO GERMAN CARS!
Summary: OK! I thought the v6 would be awesome...and believe me it was for the time it lasted. I've had the car now for about 9 months, and have added Borla exhaust, new air intake filter, pretty much simple things that would make it more economical and faster; which sadfully this car isn't without a turbocharger. The car eats fuel like a pig in heaven, and the engine is only powerful enough for the Mustang and select GT models to blow off the road, then some ricers come along and your in their tracks. Truthfully im suprised; hearing about how cool and nice and shiny they are, their still american! MOOO! So tomorrow im test driving the VW GTI VR6 6-speed which could beat a Firebird in heartbeat...the fun will never last they say lol!
