The Rendezvous is a 4-door, up to 7-passenger sport-utility, available in two trims, the CX and the CXL. Both trims are equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 196-horsepower engine that achieves 19-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
Strengths: Comfort, features, insurance is very reasonable because of high safety rating.
Weaknesses: Better gas mileage would be an improvement, but I knew an SUV wouldn't get great gas mileage when I bought the car. No trunk/cargo space when third row seat is up.
Summary: I just got my Rendezvous and I love it! It has leather seats, rear parking assist, satellite radio, driver's information center, third row seat, faux wood grain dash, automatic climate control, traction control, side air bags - everything I could possibly want with 9,360 miles! We test drove many cars before settling on the Rendezvous. It was by far the most comfortable of all the cars we drove.
Similar Products Used: We test drove Toyota Highlander, Chevy Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, Kia Sorrento - this car was by far the most comfortable and the most bang for the buck.

from Carstens Motor Co
Year / Model Reviewed: 2006 Buick Rendezvous CXL
Strengths: lots of room, ease of getting in and out
Weaknesses: none yet
Summary: Just bought this vehicle. I love it!! Leather seats, OnStar, XM Radio, Third row seat, VERY ROOMY and comfy. I have had a Roadmaster wagon for 16 yrs, went to a Saturn L200 for the past year. Had to get back to a bigger Buick for elderly parents to get in and out of. VERY easy to get in and out. Lots of room in back seat for mom's bad knees.
I had shopped online for this very vehicle. I knew exactly what I wanted: White, Leather Seats, and third row seat. This deal was better than any of the huge online car lots.
My local dealer got one in and I bought it.
If you are looking for comfort and lots of room, this is just the ticket!
And by the way, I still have my 1991 Buick Roadmaster wagon. Just couldnt part with it!!

Strengths: Extras (XM radio, DVD player, heated seats, etc.), third row seating, gas mileage.
Weaknesses: Little storage or cargo space.
Summary: What a great car for a great price. I love all of the "extras" and the gas mileage and the surprise third row seating! It's very comfortable and seems to be in a class of its own for affordability and features.
Similar Products Used: I've always had a big SUV or minivan. This is a perfect compromise.

Weaknesses: gas guage goes crazy, and best mileage is 24 on highway.
Summary: fine car , however gas guage goes crazy after tank reaches half. It moves as you go up a hill or just bounces around. The dealership did all they could and they said it was a tech problem that GM is working on. I called Gm and they said this was acceptable on the vehicle. I told them it is unacceptable. Our family is lifelong gm buyers and this iis what we get from them. Toyota here we come.
