good price, found the reason why after i drove it off the lot and signed the title

Weakness:

well the car doesnt start everytime, like to quit and not turn over. paid alot of money for a car that doesnt start. will start about half the times i turn the key, have to press the gas a bit like it a 1950 buick sedan

would have liked if bob heider of heider motors could have asessed the problem. yes it would used but drove 5 miles and found out the car wont even start everytime. still unsure of the issue, fuel? starter? alternator? who knows

I have owned my Equinox for about 3 years. Two months after purchase, the car would not go over 10 mph. I tool it back to the dealer and they wanted to charge me $700 to fix it. They said the warranty would not cover the problem. Afetr a long arguement, they finally fixed the problem for free. Since then, I have replaced the starter, The air conditioner will not work (mechanic does not know why), brake system is horrible, my door is making a funny noise, my door locks do not work, my interior lights keep flashing on and off, my cd player ate my cd and now my heater is blowing out cooled air---and its 32 degrees outside. I called Gm and they told me it's not a life threatening matter. Life threatening? I am unable to defrost my window. This is my first chevy and my last! A co-worker owns a 2005 equinox. She is dealing with the same problems.

Good paper weight

Drives like a paper weight

Does anyone want this piece of crap? I have replaced almost everything on it from the starter, to the bearings, to the oxygen sensor. The mileage is miserable, less than 500km's to the tank, which is 60 litres plus, can't fit my mother in it. (her walker) Heated seats catch on fire. Let's not even start with the windshield. Who ever designed this crap did not think, oh maybe there might be snow some winters. Speakers went. It ate one of my CD's. All it is good for is storing my old tv in the garage.

Just as I pay this car off, with about 65,000 miles on it, I am having MAJOR problems. Over a thousand to replace fuel pump a month ago. Now my compressor has gone out and that will be just as much. The check engine light has been on for years and the dealership gave it back to me after repairs to the fuel pump with the light still on. I was happy enough for the first couple of years, but now I just don't feel secure driving it. It does do odd things at times related to the steering wheel also. I really wish I had traded it in a year ago.

Strength:

My wife bought it for the looks. Good in Snow. Utility good.
My wife likes the way it drives and handles.

Weakness:

Turning radius is long.My ML320 SUV can turn way shorter. Replaced wheel bearing (s) , antenna, and noises under warrenty. Now the idiot lights are flashing and the brakes feel insecure, me and another real mechanic cannot figure it out. I dont like the way it drives and handles. I drive a ML320 with 150,000 miles on it. 22 MPH Highway for this little thing ?

I like to wait a few years to write a review. As I type we have 38,000 miles and are out of warrenty. I think the next year GM offered 100,000 warrenties. We bought out Chevy as a Demo and saved about $10,000 off sticker. It has most the options. Its the 3rd GM in a row for my wife. Each one seems worse I hate to say in terms if reliability. We had a old red plastic Transport that was GREAT, then an old silouette that blew intake and head gaskets, now this Canada made Little Truck.

We has the GM Silouette and the Transpost before this little truck. Lost 34% miles per gallon over the Silouette.

You actually look good driving it.

Weakness:

EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF

Where can I start, this truck is nice to look at, but that is it. It's really sad that no one told me that it was a piece of sh*t truck. Everything the other person said was completely true, from the oil light, engine light, transmission slipping, gas cap wont stay on, motor burned out in the drivers door, alarm dont work, cd player/radio burned out and a rattling noise underneath they no one can seem to identify etc etc, and I actually purchased it new (go figure). I bet you as soon as my warranty runs out they will suddenly be able to find that noise lol .Strangely enough as we speak I am trying to trade it in as soon as I get someone to take it. What a waste of time and good money. Chevy needs to wipe them all out and start over.If you even think about buying this truck. " RUN FORREST RUN"

EVERYTHING --

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Never buy this vehicle. My 05 Nox has been in the shop 10 times for BIG problems, new starter, service engine stuck on, service oil light stuck on, back tailgate rusted already, toooo much to list. I called GM and they could care less. They offered me a free oil change when my care was out of service for 38 days. You have been warned. You buy this vehicle I feel for you!!!! I dumped it the first chance I got. Be prepared to take it in the shorts, the vehicle does not hold its value. The dealership I bought it off could have cared less. They did nothing, all they said was to contact the BBB auto line and I did and they did nothing either. It should be a crime to steel money from hard working folks like us. I drove Chevy my entire life; I will never purchase a GM car again.
