Strength:

Roomy third row seat, easy access, cool styling, awesome duel sunroof and FOLD FLAT THIRD ROW SEATS UNLIKE THE YUKON!!!

Weakness:

None that I can figure out besides it is a GMC si it doesn't have the best resale value or reliability.

I looked at this car with my parents two years ago (when i was 8) so I don't have much memory. But I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CAR. And don't go thinking I was tiny when I was 8. I was at least 4'5. Right now I'm 5'2 and a half.

Strength:

Comfortable, easy to drive, adequate room for dogs and supplies. The navigation system might be great if I could figure it out. Ditto on the twin sun roofs. I like the remote door lock, esp for the hatchback.

Weakness:

All those fancy buttons mean I have had to pull over and read a manual to figure out how to turn on heat or air, rear defroster, window washers, find a radio station. Still don't know how to use the navigation system -- twice it has arbitrarily decided to keep telling us how to go somewhere when I hadn't asked. Got out the manual to cancel but would not cancel. Similarly, the phone is a pain. 'Call Home' is too little to recognize. I don't want a 3rd row seat but get that forced on you, and I sure don't want a DVD player which will never be used.

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT! It's all about mileage.. we're very rural, mostly highway and don't get 18mpg -- it's rated 18-24. What a lie! A pure freeway trip didn't break 19mpg. It has all the bells and whistles, but I can't see past that mileage! I'm technically challanged and this vehicle has hit a point of saturation with buttons and voice activated commands. Operating it requires the dedication of a religion.

Model Reviewed: Acadia

Strength:

Many creature comforts: dual moonroof and sunroof; backup sensors; heads-up display is awesome; entertainment system with AM/FM/CD/XM radio is very nice; On-star turn by turn directions are fantastic and make the Navigation package totally unnecessary. Dashboard layout and finish is very clean and nice with chrome accents. The rear auto-opening hatchback is a very nice option - would recommend purchasing. Plenty of storage and cup holders available. Leather trim is very nicely done.

Weakness:

Second row seats have less cushioning than desired or compared to vehicles like the Yukon. Handling is decent but a bit soft and could do better. The addition of better anti-sway bars or a tighter suspension would be an improvement. Acceleration is only fair and is noticibly inferior to GM's 8 cylinder in other SUV's. Gas mileage of +/- 18mpg is ok - but only incrementally better than my V8 Yukon at 14mpg - and at a significant loss of HP. The trim level I purchased did not have 8 way power seats for the driver nor passenger - would highly recommend purchasing this option.

This vehicle is an excellent replacement for the GMC Envoy and Chevy Trailblazer (which I used to own). I has as much interior space as the GMC Yukon I traded on this Acadia.

Gas mileage is decent at +/- 18 miles per gallon which is better than Yukon but disappointingly the same as the Trailblazer/Envoy.

This vehicle has very nice exterior styling - similar to the Acura MDX or the Lexus 330 - although it is bigger than both of those.

Third row seating is ok allow for a total capacity of seven or eight - if three are small kids.

Overall, a very nice vehicle with good value.

Peoria GMC staff was very professional - the best I have ever worked with.
