from West One Auto Klamat Year / Model Reviewed: 2008 GMC Acadia Strengths: Comfortable, easy to drive, adequate room for dogs and supplies. The navigation system might be great if I could figure it out. Ditto on the twin sun roofs. I like the remote door lock, esp for the hatchback. Weaknesses: All those fancy buttons mean I have had to pull over and read a manual to figure out how to turn on heat or air, rear defroster, window washers, find a radio station. Still don't know how to use the navigation system -- twice it has arbitrarily decided to keep telling us how to go somewhere when I hadn't asked. Got out the manual to cancel but would not cancel. Similarly, the phone is a pain. 'Call Home' is too little to recognize. I don't want a 3rd row seat but get that forced on you, and I sure don't want a DVD player which will never be used. Summary: I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT! It's all about mileage.. we're very rural, mostly highway and don't get 18mpg -- it's rated 18-24. What a lie! A pure freeway trip didn't break 19mpg. It has all the bells and whistles, but I can't see past that mileage! I'm technically challanged and this vehicle has hit a point of saturation with buttons and voice activated commands. Operating it requires the dedication of a religion. Similar Products Used: Honda CR-V 2003, which I loved but messed up my husbands back.
Ford Explorer '91, also loved it but traded for something more economical.
