Summary: This vehicle loves the service shop. In the 9 months I have had this vehicle, it has developed an oil leak at a valve cover shorting out a spark plug, been to service for transmission problems 4 times (hard downshift to first), rear bushings failed, CD drive failed, the SRS system failed, home link system and inside dimming rear view mirror failed and the moonroof switch broke. What a piece of junque. Thankfully, it was under warranty but I'll be dumping it just before the warranty expires.
Strengths: Looks nice. Very good stereo system.
Weaknesses: Mechanical integrity, system complexity, horrible gas hog. The GPS mapping is poor but for $200+ they can send me an update disk.

Summary: The SUV does not track straight it wanders. Steering does not come back to center it must be pulled back. Engine idle rough it goes up and down and at the low end it sets up a vibration in the cabin. The brakes stick but can be pushed through and then they come on quite strong and fast. Dealer was no help and MB USA was also no help. Don't purchase this car it does not live up to its so called quality reputation. Customer is not right attitude.
Strengths: Air conditioning system and premium sound system.
Weaknesses: See above... The adjustable steering wheel could come down lower. Its a long way down from the back seat.

Summary: In the three years that ive driven this Jeep, it has had a few mechanical issues. the first problem i had was the water pump went out, luckily i was parking it for a while and was able to fix it on the side of the street. about a year and a half later, the ignition coil went out. luckily i troubleshot that system first. it wouldnt start at all and the dealer tried to sell me a new computer module- $500. thanks but no thanks. the $30 ignition coil fixed it. as of current problems, it has a tendency to not want to start when the engine is at operating temperature. however, for what it is, it gets alright gas mileage- for a 4.0 straight 6. the acceleration is decent but with regular tune up intervals, it would be better. the transmission still shifts good with 140,000 miles, but the handling is not that great.
