Review 2 of 123

Price Paid:  $18900.00 from Saturn kearny Mesa

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 Saturn/Vue

Summary:
This is my fourth Saturn and a big disappointment. I upgraded my 05 Saturn Vue (which I loved) only to find that the design changes on the '08 did not enhance the vehicle at all. There is very little room between the seats and the large plastic console. Just enough room for a cell phone to slip down but not enough room to get a hand down there without nearly breaking it. The dashboard design looks cheap as does the sound of my blinker. Perhaps the design was meant to take us back to a simpler time but I don't like the antiquated look and feel of it. In addition, the body of the car is much heavier than the '05. The principle reason I upgraded my '05 was that passenegers in the back seat would get car sick 100% of the time on winding roads. The new VUE fixes that problem by having a heavier body, but it's too heavy for the roller skate V4 engine and stopping can be difficult and dangerous. It also means less gas mileage. In addition, the mirrors have been mounted farther away from the body of the car. This creates a blind spot that is difficult to compensate for and I have had many near misses as a result. I have also been very disappointed with the quality and service of the dealership since getting this car. All in all, Saturn isn't what it used to be and this will be my last one. I am counting the days until I am not upside down on the value of the car so I can unload it.

Strengths:
Sleek exterior look, On-Star, same great hauling space as previous model

Weaknesses:
Interior design flaws with seating, consoles. Mounted side mirrors create blind spot causing potential serious hazard. Car too heavy to stop quickly. Loss of mileage compared to older models. Service & warranty not as good

Review 3 of 123

Price Paid:  $30000.00 from Toronto

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Vue

Summary:
I am having problems with what I feel is the transmission. The engine vibrates when switching from one geer to another. I am so frustrated as twice I have brought it in and twice I have been told that there is nothing wrong. I keep being told that these new cars are "smart" and if there is anything wrong they will tell me. I am so disappointed and wish that I never bought the vehicle. It is under warrenty but it doesn't look like a good start for a car that is only 6 months old. At this point all I can do is wait for a major problem to occur and have them repair it under warrenty. Again this is very frustrating and I feel I should have stuck to the German cars I have been driving all my life.

Strengths:
Looks good.

Weaknesses:
Engine Noise
Wind Noise.
Does not feel sturdy on the road.

Review 4 of 123

Price Paid:  $22000.00 from Saturn of Orchard Pa

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 VUE 6-Cyl FWD

Summary:
It seems like this review page is for all the "negative nelly's." Well, not here!
I absolutely LOVE my VUE! With the polymer panels that are dent/ding and rust resistant (which is great up here in Buffalo) to the Honda engine to the ONSTAR for one year I have absolutely NO complaints!
Even if I did have some problems, you know what? It's a car, it's a machine, stuff happens, it's inevitable. But with my bumper-to-bumper and extended powertrain warranty I have full confidence that my vehicle will be taken care of until the day I reluctantly trade it in.

Strengths:
Power and Pick-Up.
Styling and NO blindspots.
Space and versatility.

Review 5 of 123

Price Paid:  $21000.00 from Mounds View Saturn

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Vue

Summary:
I have been back many times and had the car in to be checked 4 times. They claim that 20 ~ 21 mpg. is within their standards. I bought it due to promises of around 28 mpg.
Since they feel there is nothing wrong with the poor gas mileage, I would like them to take the car back in trade for something that will get better gas mileage they are unwilling.
It was driven by them twice and they got 24 & 26 mpg. I'm not sure how, I've never been in that range - ever

Weaknesses:
Poor Gas Mileage
