Strengths:
Gas mileage

I purchased the 2.5 pvez emmission outback in the beginning of June. After the first month the first start in the morning the car seems like it is going to stall out for a while but seems to kick itself to life. The rest of the day the car is fine. I bought the car in Queens but get it serviced in Riverhead. They kept it for two nights and confirmed that the start is a rough one. The answer was that they all do that. Is there anyone out there that has the same problem. I wonder what the start will be like in zero degree weather. Also the car's engine is very loud. Design inside car is very awkward, knobs on the smallish side. There is no where to put loose change.

Summary:
The only thing that I like about the car is the good gas mileage.

Summary:
My original review of this car was excellent, but now that i have been driving it for a few months my opinion has changed. Yesterday my nephew was exiting from the back seat and as he stepped out he knocked off the trim piece under the door. i was shocked. I mean this is an off road vehicle and they glue on the trim. Give me a break. Also, it seems to be noisier for some reason. I have never like the tilt wheel. It just moves up and down a few inches, but it DOES NOT TILT. IT IS A CHEAP WAY TO MANUFACTURE IT and it really isn't functional, plus in the lower position it completely blocks out the instruments. i don't think i will have it for a very long time. i made a mistake in not buying the equinox.

Similar Products Used:
I had a pontiac Aztek and it drove better when i turned it in with 120K than this one does new.

Summary:
i have had this car for a few months now and i have some comments. I reviewed this car as a 5 star but now i am going to give it a lower rating. Yesterday my nephew was getting out of the vehicle and he stepped out and knocked off the bottom trim. From what i was told it is held on by an adhesive and two clips. I would think they could have secured it in a more positive manner. Now that i have driven it for a whle i noticed it does have a definite whine from the CVt and i could not say that it is a quiet car. I still hate the wheel, When it is in the low position you CAN NOT read the instruments. That is a poor design and the wheel itself just doesn't sit right, but that is my personal opinion and man not affect your driving position. I am kind of wishing that i bought the Equinox.

Summary:
Avoid this car. The car has a very disturbing wheel shake problem at highway speeds. The problem is present in both 2010 and 2011 models.

2010 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited

Strengths:
I have the 3.6R limited model, it great move it around northeast with the snow we had on the month of Feb. It give me lot of controls on the road. Power have no question on 3.6R, it move when you needs it on any conditions.

Weaknesses:
Side mirrors do not fold back and the GPS systems is hard to work with, maps memory on the system are on 3 DVD Rom disc.

Summary:
It is a good all around driving conditions.
Good fuel economy on a AWD 3.6R city and highway average 20-22
