Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $250.00 from IAR

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 astra 7E7

Strengths:
KNOWING ON YOUR REMOTE THAT THE ALARM IS ON. DISTANCE YOU CAN ACTIVATE. AT WORK AND AT HOME YOU CAN HEAR THE REMOTE GO OFF.

Weaknesses:
COULD BE A LITTLE EASIER TO PROGRAM. BATTERY LIFE

Summary:
LOVE THIS ALARM. THE BEST I HAVE USED. I WOULD BUY ANOTHER.

Similar Products Used:
VIPER. IT STARTED ACTING ERATIC AFTER A FEW YEARS. WHICH MEANS YOU CAN'T USE IT ANYMORE.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $170.00 from Pacific Audio in Sac

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Astra Scytek 777

Strengths:
Price,price,price!

Weaknesses:
I've haven't noticed any.

Summary:
The *only* problem I've had was the installers fault, but for $170 (including install), you get what you pay for. It's a fact that alarms are *all* about the quality of the install. The alarms computer (and other parts)*must* be well hidden or it's useless. That said, I've had it for over a year and had no problems with the alarm itself. I was even able to add power locks after the alarm was installed with zero problems.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Stereo Installation

Strengths:
Signal range

Weaknesses:
Many--False Alarms, Lock Outs, Wrong Page Alarms, Short Battery Life, Alarm goes off while driving...and many more to list

Summary:
Astra 777 was bought at approx. $350 parts and labor. I've had it for 4 months and now, it's starting to activate randomly while I'm driving. While driving, it honks once to lock and then twice to unlock but at random times. It gives me false alarms all the time even when I toned down the shock senser. The shop that installed it is a "start-up" shop so they don't have the best techs and I would not recommend them to anyone. Overall, I would spend more for a better product...perhaps the Viper.

None and Will not buy this product and I will stay away from Scytek and all it's products.
