Description:
Sabre II combats the latest and most ominous trend in electronic thievery: Code-grabbing. Car thieves with code-grabbers can capture and record, right off the air, the digital code transmitted by virtually every car alarm remote control. When you are gone, the thief plays back the code to disarm the alarm and unlock the doors. Within seconds, your car becomes just another car theft statistic. Fortunately, Sabre II's Anti-CodeGrabbing (ACG) technology is impervious to code-grabbers, rendering them useless.

Review 1 of 1 , from Canada

Strengths:
Very loud, piercing siren. Almost deafened me when I accidentally set it off once when I was leaning over the engine with the hood up. Very reliable alarm, the specs are quite convincing.

Weaknesses:
Cheap plastic remotes. Arm/disarm chirp is too loud and attracts too much attention. I would have preferred something more subdued. Auto arm feature has no audible notification so it's easy to forget (but then that may be desirable for you), which is a problem if you have no power locks and try to open the door again after a few minutes.

Summary:
This is really just a basic alarm but I can recommend it if that's all you're looking for. It never gave me any problems in the 2.5 years that I owned it. I consider the CDN $400 I paid for it installed to be quite high however.

This is my first alarm.
