from local guy Year / Model Reviewed: 1997 kicker xs100 Summary: im running 2 of these amps. about the alternator, in my other vehicle i have a big fat alternator and they do fine, but now they are on a factory alternator in a pathfinder, and it has been running them for about a year, and they are both at one ohm, and i bang on them all day. now they run hot, and could bang louder, but i still do well in the competitions. i do recomend a big alternator though. dont just buy two batteries. what will happen is your factory alternator will now have to charge two dead batteries. thats when you will hurt it.as for the kicker. this amp is a big bad beast. i once ran 12 12w0 12 ohm jl audios on one. yes they made 12 ohm. it beat the crap out of all of them. another way to hurt your alternator is to try to run one of these amps on some thin wire. treat this amp right and you will enjoy hours of concrete crackin, glass breakin, ear poppin, battery killin, neighbor hattin, sheet metal flexin, of course cd skippin (get an ipod), license plate loosin, wire meltin, cab heatin, massive woofer blowin, baby wakin, usac stompin, trunk latch breakin, retarded loud, chest poundin, eye waterin, dash breakin, ticket gettin, rediculis, stupid, super slammin, alternator belt throwin, awsem, rearview mirror in your lap bass. just stay out of my class please, i dont like to run up against kicker amps. it takes away my advantage. a side note. i have never got rid of a kicker amp because it didnt work. they only end up in someone else's car because that person is a piece of crap and stole one from me. Strengths: massive power supply. can run under 1 ohm. down to 2/3 ohms. just add fans. Weaknesses: power hungry. feed them Similar Products Used: none are like it
