Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $389.00 from thezeb.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2003 DD1300

Summary:
This is a very nice amp, especially for the money. It puts out a ton of power. I have mine runnin a jl 13w7 at .75 ohms. It never really gets more than warm, even at this load and when I'm poundin. I metered it and it's puttin out around 1600 watts into this load!!! It also has a 'regulated power supply' which means you get all your power even when your battery voltage drops down. This is a very important things for 95% of the installs. Even with this load, I never blow a fuse and I have only 3 40 amp fuses in my power lines. It is very efficient and has good sound for a class d amp. Lots of nice features too, like an adjustable subsonic filter, for those runnin ported boxes, you need this. Nice build quality, very heavy. Get one of these, you will not be sorry.

Strengths:
Power, efficiency, features, price

Weaknesses:
Only those inherrent to all class d amps, ie comprimised sq, but nothin to worry about

Similar Products Used:
jbs, infinity, rockford, extant, zapco etc

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $299.00 from www.zebaudio.com

Summary:
This is a great amp with a ton of great features. Don't let the the name fool you. I hadn't heard of Ultimate Sound when I first started searching around for an amp. I soon found out that they are kind of a "sleeper" company. Ultimate Sound has been known as a great company for a while in other countries. They are just now becoming known in the U.S.A. Overall, the amp is top of the line, comes with a ton of features, and certainly worth the money.

Strengths:
Very powerful. It's rated at 1200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm, but it actually tests at about 1400 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. Nice looking amp. Great features (including a sub-sonic filter). Top of the line everything. Will make two 12" Kicker L5's slam hard.

Weaknesses:
None
