from Crutchfield Year / Model Reviewed: 2003 Summary: Got this amplifier yesterday, have already begun to put it to the test. I'm pushing to 4ohm Crossfire 10's, and am very pleased. My system is set up for sound quality, and clarity...not a boomer at all. The amp does an excellent job of giving me what I want out of it. Good power, not too boomy, and low current draw. I've got the gain on this amp set maybe 50%, if even that high. Crossover is set around 80hz, sub level on the head unit is set at 50%, and I don't have to turn the bass boost more than halfway to do what I want it to do. Gain and crossover controls could be better in that their other amps have controls (Crossover for example) that are marked, and you can only turn the screws between those marks, and although not exact...it does give you a feel for where you sit. Not so on this amp, plain, and you can turn the controls 360 degrees.
For $129.99 this is what you get, a simple but nice looking amp...good usable class D power...low current draw from your electrical system...a three year warranty...and a wired remote.
One other thing....crutchfields numbers are wrong...bass boost is 8db @ 40hz. Strengths: Clean Power...Low power consumption...Simple elegance(Appearance)...easy hookups Weaknesses: Crossover and gain controls could be more easily accessible, and have some markings to give an idea of how they are adjusted.
