Price Paid:  $155.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Xtant 403a (Refubrished)

Summary:
By far, this is the best sounding amp i have ever seen, i knew of Xtant's reputation, but even so, it was more than i expected. The amp is rated 2X50@4Ohm + 1X100@4Ohm, and the double of that at 2 Ohms, but it's way, way underrated, im pushing 2 sets of Infinity Reference 6000cs, and a Diamond Audio 12" DVC Subwoofer, everything at 2 Ohms and it pounds like crazy! the sound quality is amazing, you cant believe how loud it can go with that sound quality. I paid 155 USD for it since is refubrished, it's a steal! it costs about 700 USD MSRP, and it has 1 year warranty, its a win-win situation.

Strengths:
Built quality, Sound Quality, Looks, Power, Features, Doesn't need a lot of power (60 Amps), the amp sounds so good you dont need an equalizer.

Weaknesses:
Stainless steel with mirror finish can get scratched very easily, so you have to be careful with it! but hey! this is a fine piece of equipment, so is worth it.

Similar Products Used:
Alpine, Audiobahn, Coustic, Kenwood, Pioneer, Orion, Rockford Fosgate, JBL (all crap compared to Xtant) SoundStream (exellent also)

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $200.00 from online

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Used 1999

Summary:
My current System consists of 3 Xtant 302a's and 1 Xtant 1000DX. The system is purely SQ. I am running a pioneer DEX-P1R with its active crossover enabled (Bi-amping front components.) I have Focal 165k2's in the front. they are bi-amped by the Xtants. 1 302a is for both Focal tweeters (75x2) and then 1 302a per Focal Mid Range. (300x2) and then 2 Focal 33v2 subs on a 1000dx amp. The amps DO get very hot when they are not pushing much power, the louder the amps run the cooler they run. but other than that the amps are very natural and have great imaging, they are not The warmest amp, but they help keep the sound realistic. and clean and VERY loud, best amp i have used for the money, the only amp i would upgrade to is a zapco c2k series amp stereo system.

Strengths:
They are VERY clear, Natural Sound, Very flat responce which helps, less need for 31 band eq's for RTA. Beats all amps i have heard so far.

Weaknesses:
Get very warm when not being pushed, but they will cool down when played loud.

Similar Products Used:
Zapco AG 350, ppi 2240,ppi 2360, rockford 300x, rockford 250a2.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00 from A Friend

Summary:
This is my first Xtant Amp and I have it powering a set of CDT HD-62DTM Component Speakers for my fronts. The CDT''''s itself are an amazing set of components and coupled with the Xtant, the imaging and soundstage was awesome. It not only met but exceeded my expectations. Clean, clear and natural sounds were literally dancing out of it. I only have 2 worries. The first is the amp runs pretty hot and I was told that is Xtant''''s characteristics, BUT it never quitted on me even when I go for long drives (6 hours or more) and playing it continously. Amazing. I would definitely say that one can''''t go wrong with Xtant. the second is that strangely enough, I cannot obtain an external 50amp fuse for it in Malaysia.

Strengths:
Clear, Crisp and Natural sounding. Great Imaging and Soundstaging. Beautiful and Sexy with the Chrome Shroud.

Weaknesses:
Runs hot BUT NEVER SHUTTED DOWN ON ME. Couldnot obtain the specified fuse in Malaysia.

Similar Products Used:
Crunch P2200, replaced with Precision Power PCX-250 and finally this XTANT>

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
For SQ, I have not heard anything better that this amp. Very accurate, clean, detail and controlled. Those are the things you ask for SQ. This amp delivers. I used to be a PPI guy for SQ. Not anymore. This amp is excellent

Review 5 of 5

Year / Model Reviewed:
 302a and 301a

Summary:
When I first got this amp I honestly did not like it! It took awhile getting used to non fading rear channel. And being surprised with all kinds of options, like rear channel resistor modules and other expansion modules! Bling$$$, Bling$$$. But once I got pass the unexpected Bling$$$, Bling$$$ hurdles I was loving it.

Strengths:
Very clean and powerful. Beautiful polish finsh. 4 year warranty! :-)

Weaknesses:
Highly recommended that you have the amp installed by an authorized Xtant dealer to take advantage of the 4 year warranty or eles its either 90 days or a year! Pay the extra Bling$$$, Bling$$$ and get it done right the first time!

Similar Products Used:
Cleaner sound than my PPI's - yeah I still have my PPI's from '98 for back up!
