2001 Infinity Kappa 202a

Strengths:
Awesome constant power that makes my friends jealous when they ride with me. It has enough power to drive two 10" Kappa subs, even though they are rated at 1000w peak power. Reliable beyond all bounds; I have used it for a long time and have never had an issue with it.

Weaknesses:
The only weakness is that I can't find another one for my other vehicle.

Summary:
This amp is awesome. 600 watts continuous power? I'd have to say that there is at least that much. I have two Infinity Kappa 10" Subs in separate sealed boxes, and I only use this one amp to push both of them. I use it bridged, and man oh man does it hit hard. I admit that I am not easy on my equipment and I run it hard and often, but it is consistant time after time. I only use one power lead, and that is all I need.

Summary:
I have been using the 202a for about three years now and never once noticed anything about it I didn't like. This amp is crazy, I switched from the 102a to the 202a and upgraded to two 12" Infinity Kappa Perfects and they pound. I was pushing 138.6db and only had the gain half way up and bass optimizer all the way down. I would have turned it up, but they wanted more money for another test, but I was more than satisfied with that. That many db for 200w X 2 is crazy and know it can do much better than that

Strengths:
Clarity, also i believe this amp is underated, i think it's RMS output is closer to 700 watts bridged. Top of the line product, originally retailed i believe for close to $700.

Summary:
I got this amp a few years ago when Crutchfield was running a special on them. When i decided to go with the Infinity i got strange reactions, most people ran Rockford, MTX, JL Audio or Kicker amps. I'm glad i went a little unconventional though, this is an unbelievable amp, the clarity and power is awesome. Anyone who spends a lot of time around car audio will tell you the old Kappa and Beta digital amps were outstanding. I have it powering a 15" Kicker-Solo Baric sub(the round ones) and it's a match made in heaven.

Strengths:
i think that this amp pushes more that it says. my friend had the exact same 15s that i had. he had a 1200 watt amp running them, and i still hit harder with my 600 watt infinity.

Summary:
i love this amp. i have been beating on it for about 3 years now. it is in the back of my 85 toyota celica (hatchback) i am running 2 crossfire p115 subs (15 inch) and they sound great. when i first put the system in i hit 146db. now that i have gotten over being scared of turning them up i think i could hit much harder

Strengths:
clarity. i had one 12" in a sealed box for about 6 months and it sounded great! also it has DBO, dynamic bass output, which means it will boost your super lows where a normal amp generally drops off and looses punch at the very very low end of the sound spectrum.

Weaknesses:
i am not a competitor, but i can say that i have not seen or heard any amp that i would rather have than this infinity, no complaints here

Summary:
This amp rocks... 200W x 2 and then some. i believe the power rating given is for a 12 volt system. this amp has a variable voltage dial... meaning if your hardcore and can provide more than 12v to the amp, the amp will push that much more. the control dial goes from 9v - 25v, meaning i could theoretically push 400x2W or 1200x1W (600x1W @ 12v) if i cranked this puppy up to 24 volts. No i am not hardcore, but i do run two massive 12" in a bandpass and leave the voltage around 11 and my bass boost on zero on my deck. my deck is a pioneer premeier and has +-6 bass boost to just the sub RCA outs. what does all this mean? i could probably blow my back window out if i wanted ten seconds of audio and a new alternator by simply cranking this thing to 25 volts and increasing my bass boost on my deck. believe me when i say this is one powerful amp.
