Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Infinity Kappa 255a

Summary:
great mids and highs, adequate sub channel. once a problem arises, though, you may as well throw it away.

Strengths:
sq, price (used), weco connectors for quick install/removal, powerful

Weaknesses:
can be difficult to troubleshoot if failure arises.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $250.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Kappa 255a

Summary:
Great amp, ive got 2 of them, they look cool and power anything, ive repainted mine charcoal grey and they look even better.

Strengths:
high power, flexible on the rca cables(has a option to run a bi-amped component set, the front channels to tweeters and rear to mids, and the crossover automaticly takes the mid range from the front channels and sends it to the back, no need for 6 rca cables)

Weaknesses:
the bi-amped component option does have a bug, it sometimes shorts and causes the amp to send alot of feedback to your head unit, and in about 2 days it will destroy your head units amp/preamp outputs. after this happens you need to fork out over 200$ to get the amp and your cd player fixed(ive had both my 255as do this, and they blew out my 800$ minidisc recording headunit, headunit was under warrenty still amps cost me 130$ each to have fixed)

Similar Products Used:
PPI, JVC, Rockford, MTX, Jensen, Kenwood.
