Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $239.00 from Local Pawn Shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 Autotek XS-550.2 Stealth Amp

Strengths:
Alot of controls. Very hard hitting for a small size amp. Highly underated.

Weaknesses:
Chrome finish displays finger prints. Stealth design makes it hard to reach knobs.

Summary:
This is by far the best amp ever. I had mine hooked up to 2 Memphis Studio 12" subs. The subs were rated at 200 rms and I know I was feeding them well over that. People thought that I had 15's in my trunk because the amp made my subs hit like crazy. The gain wasn't even at the half way mark! This thing put out some serious clean and clear bass. The only problem know is I have to get another system because mine was stolen from me a couple of months ago. I will be putting his big brother in this time. Autotek "Mean Machine) XM-5000.(2400 Watts) I will be using it to power 3 Eclipse Ti 12" subs! Be looking out for me. HOLLA!!!

This was my first system but after hearing others, I highly recommend this amp.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $300.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
great look, great output, can be suface mounted!

Weaknesses:
adjustment knobs could look better (maybe if they were the way the looked in the brochure!, not little 'poo knobs')

Summary:
>nice looking amp with reduculous RMS ouput for what it's rated at, hooked to a 'Fluke' true RMS meter... got around 730RMS @2ohms!... great amp for the money, even if it costs less than a kicker, it still holds above my old ZR360.... keeping in mind Kicker has better SNratio and better damping... but who cares when it so mineute of a difference.

Similar Products Used:
Kicker ZR360, for the money this amp doesn't compare to the XS550.2... and I love the adjustable Fq for the LPF/HPF.. not like kickers horrid IC controls!
