Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $175.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 P500D

Strengths:
Power, sound quality, remote bass control so you can control the power from the front seat.

Weaknesses:
The $$$$$ if you paid full price cause you got screwed. I don't think it is worth the retail price of $500 but if you can get it for around $300 it is well worth it

Summary:
This is an all around great amp. The power coming out is great, the sound quality is amazing and with it being a dual mono amp it is very user friendly. The power rating is 500 x 1 @ 4 ohms, 750 x 1 @ 2 ohms, and 1100 x 1 @ 1 ohm. I have this amp hooked up to 2 12" dual voice coil phoenix gold tantrum series. In a competition I hit 137 db with everything up full. When im just going around on the street I have the bass on my deck at -2, the gain at half, the bass boost at half, and the remote bass control at half and it still pounds hard enough to hurt my ears.

Price Paid:  $250.00 from ubid

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
Good price, Great preformance, Optional anti freeze cooling sys.

Weaknesses:
None

Summary:
For the price You cant go wrong. Im pounding 3 jl 10w0 4ohm wired in parallel down to 1 ohm. The amp does not get hot what so ever. Pounds the hell out of the jl''s. Remote gain knob is nice. The jl''s are in a sealed box with about .80 cubic ft. of air each sub. It''s installed in full size bronco with alot of air space. Ive invested a little over $550.00 total , amp + subs. Kick A$$ bass for the money. Nice tight bass for the metal heads and hits low for the bass heads. Perfect for my first system.
