Description:
With constant demands for higher power, today's amps need to run cooler with increased output, and fit into smaller packages for easier installation in today's vehicles. The answer to this dilemma is the new Class 'T' design from Tripath Technologies.

This new technology allows Blaupunkt amps to provide all of the sonic advantages of conventional Class AB designs, combined with the high power efficiencies and low heat dissipation of Class D designs. With this newly patented, single-chip solution we are able to generate 2-4 times the power from a comparable sized amp, but with far less heat. And it runs so cool it can even be encased in a plastic housing. Looks cool, runs cool!

200W x 2-channels

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Automotive Innovatio

Year / Model Reviewed:
 blaupunkt pa2200

Strengths:
It pounds

Weaknesses:
Wiring

Summary:
This thing sucks. I paid $120 at a super sale and i wired it into my car. it pumped real good for a while then it was cooked. The ass owner of the company i bought it from sold me an 8 gauge wiring kit for a digital amp. And anyone whos knows amps known that you need 4 gauge to run it. So i would buy it, but make sure you get the right wiring for it.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $380.00 from Xtreme Sounds

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Strengths:
I can't think of any. Smells like ass when it burns up.

Weaknesses:
Couldn't push anything worth a crap.

Summary:
For $380 dollars this amp was a P.O.S. First of all it sucked because we had it running to a solo-baric L7 12" which barely bumped. After going through 3 amplifiers-thanks to Xtreme Sounds in Austin, Texas, we finally found that the PA2150 which is roughly 150watts less bumped the solobaric like no other. 80 dollars less and it was almost twice as loud as the PA2200. Don't buy this amp. It SUCKS!
