Description:
With constant demands for higher power, today's amps need to run cooler with increased output, and fit into smaller packages for easier installation in today's vehicles. The answer to this dilemma is the new Class 'T' design from Tripath Technologies.

This new technology allows Blaupunkt amps to provide all of the sonic advantages of conventional Class AB designs, combined with the high power efficiencies and low heat dissipation of Class D designs. With this newly patented, single-chip solution we are able to generate 2-4 times the power from a comparable sized amp, but with far less heat. And it runs so cool it can even be encased in a plastic housing. Looks cool, runs cool!

Review 1 of 1 , from Forest Grove, Or

Price Paid:  $79.00 from Fry's

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2003

Strengths:
*Good dampening. *Low price *Digital Low heat dissipation *Unit comes with a birth certificate. *Varible Hi/Low crossovers with bass boost. Come with and external base adjustment and high level input adapter. Will pass out low or high to another amp. Comes with a birth certificate - My unit has the following *Bridged 4ohm@1.0% THD 275Wrms *Non Bridged 4ohm@1.0% THD 87Wrms *Non Bridged 2ohm@1.0% THD 134Wrms As you can see this little amp can really get down a down a grunt.

Weaknesses:
Cheezy looking case in my opinion.

Summary:
I bought this unit to run my home theater subwoofer. I'm using a computer power supply to power it. It's dampening was way greater than the 100 watts per channel amplifier I was using to power the sub. At 11 amps (thats all my current supply will give it, purchased a 25amp power supply off of the internet to power it) it does not have any noticable distortion. I was only looking for 150 watts of power and this amp kicks butt. It's also digital and does not produce much heat.
