Summary:
I've long been an admirer of Cadence products so when the chance came to snatch up a few of their amps for a good price, I jumped on it. This is the first fully class "G" amplifier available. This is significant because for the first time the the SQ of an A/B and the efficiency of a class D can co-exist. Not that much of a big deal when it comes to subs, which kind of makes the fact that it is a class G instead of a D useless. But having said that some people will tell you they can notice the difference, and I can tell you that the bass sounds tighter and more controlled even coming out of a vented box. than with a class D. I could be imagining it, but that's enough for some people.

Strengths:
Price- granted msrp is a little high, but obviously you can find these for a steal right now if you know where to look. especially if you aren't concerned that it's a refurb. Power - 1600 watts rms @ 1 ohm is enough to get most people excited. Efficiency - I challenge you to find another mono-block that can produce 1600 watts with less than 80 amps of current draw.

Weaknesses:
ummm...spendy if you can't find a good deal. Obvisouly it's kind of big as well, make sure you have plenty of room to mount it.

Rockford Fosgate, Sony, Lanzar, MTX, Blackmore, Aura, Profile, Pioneer, MA Audio ... I could go on, but I think you get the picture.
