Price Paid:  $100.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99 Z-100

Summary:
Bought this new from a dealer on ebay. It goes along with the Z-600 that powers my front components, (Orion HCCA 6S) and rear coax (Infinity Kappa 5.25"). The same look and chassis width make for a perect match with the Z-600 and the Z-100 performs perfectly for my application - which is powering a pair of base model RF Punch 10" in a sealed 1.5 cf box. I listen to almost exclusively rock music, so I don''t need massive hip hop amounts of base, but it gets plenty loud enough to keep up with my very loud front stage. The Z-100 puts out a genuine 250w into the two subs, never gets hot, never loses control. It is so much better than the Kenwood KAC-816 1x300W amp that it replaced - absolutely no comparison. Even though it is rated at a lower output, it is clearly much stronger. Also got great service from the folks at Cadence. I wanted to mount the amps so that the adjustment knobs sit on the outside edges, with the cables running up a channel between them. This meant that the Cadence logo on one of the amps would be upside down. Cadence support explained how the logos are attached, how to remove themand sent me a couple of spares in case I damaged them in the attempt to move them.

Strengths:
Totally reliable, good power for the size, the adjustments I need. Price.

Weaknesses:
None.

Similar Products Used:
Kenwood KAC-816 - no good at all, kept cutting out, weak output, hot.
