Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $500.00 from Bob's Car Audio

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Cadence z6000 - CF

Strengths:
Everything!

Weaknesses:
Nothing!

Summary:
Soo, this is Matt who wrote the original review for this amp back in 2007. It's 2012 and I still have this amp and have used it in EVERY car I've owned since 2004. It still looks amazing and sounds just as good as it did the day I bought it. I've used a lot of combo's speaker-wise and head units since and this thing truly makes a car stereo sound right. I highly recommend this amplifier, if you can find one.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $500.00 from bob's car audio

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 z6000cf (Blue Carbon Fiber Paint)

Strengths:
Everything about it! 100Watts RMS @ 4 ohms x 5 + 400Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms x 1. You will never need to add anything else. This amp does it all, in style!!!

VERY LOW TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION(THD)!!!!

Weaknesses:
It's 20 inches long and 10 inches wide and may be hard to place without customizing the interior of your car.

Summary:
I bought this 6 channel amp 3 years ago and have loved it entirely. I have done research on amplifiers and car stereos for many years, and fully believe this amp should be rated highest among 6 channels. This amplifier is recommended to those who want full surround sound in your ride, whether you have the center output on your head unit or not. The side of the amp reads "DTS" and has rca inputs for front L/R, rear L/R, Center, and Sub. If you don't have the center output on your head unit, the amp crossover side has a switch (full/Phantom) which creates a signal generated by the front L/R to immitate a center channel. If you were to compare this to modern home theaters it would be the equivalence of Dolby Surround II (Music). Along with great crossover features and superior amplifier internal components this z6000 allows the user to tune to some crystal clear high powered sound. Among the vast features, my favorite feature is the input (+,-) for an external capacitor which gives the internal mosfets a direct path to the power's reserve tank. This allows the amp to be running at full 14.4 volts at all times. My second fav is the fact that this z6000 has an internal cooling fan which is placed right over the amps mosfets.
My setup consisted of the Z6000cf, 1.5 farad capacitor, Panasonic CQ-DVR909U head unit, Kicker Resolution RS4 in front, RS6 in the back, RS3 as the center, and an L712D Solo Baric as the sub. All of which connected to the Z6000!! Amazing! With a Linkin Park DVD-Audio in the deck the sound was flawless!!! It almost brings tears to the eyes.
