Price Paid:
$650.00
from eBay Year / Model Reviewed: 2005 Eclipse DA7232 Strengths: -Under rated
-Functional Design
-Hasn't overheated
-Clean elegant look Weaknesses: -Cost - Retail up to $1499 eventhough I got a great deal
-Size - over 20" long
-Could have paid a little more attention to detail on the controls. Summary: Clean, simple and functional. The eclipse approach is an effictive one. I believe they take the less is more approach. This amp isn't the most amazing to look at but it delivers what it says it can. Eclipse rates their amps power at 13.8V and most vehicle power supplies provide 14.4V power. That in itself lets you know the amp is already underrated in a sense. I recently had the pleasure of getting this professionally installed to push (2) MTX 9500 12" subs in a ported box tuned to 37hz. There isn't much I can say about it that you haven't heard from the average audiobahn fan. I'm going to not the guy to tell you that this product will blow it's competitors out of the water and delivers enough power to launch an nuclear missle. It stays cool when you are rockin out and will not shut off.
-I'm giving it a 5 star value rating because I got a great deal on it. If I had to pay full retail it would be more like a 3 star rating
-The 5 star overall rating is because this is a powerful digital amp that delivers what it promises Similar Products Used: I've had my hands on eclipse, jl, orion, RF, and zapco amps. Eclipse can hang with the best of them but lack some of the convienence feartures that other high quality amps offer.
