Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $145.00 from JBL/Harmon Kardon fa

Year / Model Reviewed:
 E36

Strengths:
has inputs for RCA"s and High Line level inputs, and 3x knobs to adjust bass boost, frequency and input level. Its nice and compact, minimal heat at full load, no heat what so ever at lower or half. Don't have to crank up the bass, this amp has real clean power, hooked up to a good box and speakers it more than outdoes most expensive OEM systems.

Weaknesses:
None that I know of.

Summary:
It was very compact that is what attracted me to it initially. I didn't know what to expect, because this was my first eperience with a dedicated SUB amp, my experience was using crossovers to get the Lows. The two indicator lights are simple enough to read to tell you if there is anything wrong with it. I initally accidently wired up the the power source of my wiring harness to one of the speaker outputs.. Nothing happened, it didn't damage the amp in any way, so when I hooked it back up the proper way with 2x 8"'s it sounded kickin. The box is vented inside so its a push pull design, even though its only rated at 75watts but its dual output so it equals 150watts total. It gets lows enough to vibrate the whole car, but not make you one of those thumpers you hear on the street. If you don't think its 150watts is enough, well it suprised me and a few other people. Its just clean sound, not distorted like everyone elses.

Kenwood, Rockford Fosgates. OEM upgrade of Harmon Kardon maybe.
