Review 1 of 28

Price Paid:  $500.00 from MEXICO

Strengths:
everything

Weaknesses:
no subsonic filters and crossover options

Summary:
this amp really rules, I have it on a KICKER L7 12" sub set at 2 ohms and this punch hard, I know i could get a litle more power but this stuff really works neat, I used to have a 800 rms amp, and this one is the best of the two of them it never gets hot sometimes just a little warm you know how l7 can handle power and sometimes this amp makes my l7 smell like being working out, i really like it, sometimes it turn off but at the second has restarted again and just have to low the bass and it keeps going and going and going, i took this amp and not other cause al day i use my sub so i want my sub to last i had problems with other subs because of the use started to sound not as neat as the beginning so i guess with its 600 rms (on the sheet) but really are close to 700 is the perfect match for my l7 for long lasting and neat bass. I really like it!!

Strengths:
Power -underrated slightly Turn on delay

Weaknesses:
Must have all four rca inputs filled for loudest volume.

Summary:
Excellent amp. Does great for the money and is underrated slightly. I actually blew the fuses on the amp when at a competition. I've been running it at 1 ohm.

Review 3 of 28

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Online

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 BP600.1

Strengths:
Raw power at 2 Ohm load. Easy to connect. Looks cool. Fairly cheap for Class D w/ so much pure wattage.

Weaknesses:
Very difficult to calibrate gains with precision. Gets hot and starts shutting on/off at high volume/hard bass. No subsonic filter. It blew for no good reason. It blew, it blew, it blew!!!

Summary:
This amp gave me trouble from day 1. At first, when I hooked it up, it sounded awesome. Then, a horrible crackling sound came out of my sub (1 10" Kicker Solobaric L7) once the amp got hot. I took it to a specialist and told me that the bottom plate somehow was pushing up into the circuits causing a short when fully warmed up. That was fixed quickly. Now, after a few months of casually pushing just one sub, the damn thing stopped working. It just blew a mosfet inside for no reason. I replaced the mosfet, but no improvement. The amp lights up just fine and looks great, but no sound whatsoever going out to my sub or any other sub for that matter. I can't get JBL to give me warranty, as I lost my reciept and there is no support for this amp anywhere. I feel like I made a bad investment. Next time, I'll just stick with Rockford Fosgate, Kicker or MMATS.

Review 4 of 28

Price Paid:  $200.00 from www.justamps.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
Just bad ass, real power. The thing has only shut off once, and that was after 4 hours of non-stop listening on the 4 10's.

Weaknesses:
None

Summary:
This is definately a bad ass amplifier. Originally had it hooked up to two JBL GT12's, and it literally blew them apart. I recently hooked them up to four Audiobahn 10's with dual 4 ohm voice coils, I swear it pulled 138 amperes, for a total of 1,497 watts (amps x volts = watts). The only thing better is the 1200.1 which I have not had the pleasure of using. I have two Audiobahn 1200Q's on the way and can't wait to pound the hell out of them.
