Strengths: Looks, crossovers, cooling fan. Nice power when bridged. 2-ohm stereo capability.
Weaknesses: Lacks power, nowhere near 800w
Bad heatsink design. Not a great value but better then most amps in this range.
Drinks the current big-time.
Summary: Bottom-line for the budget minded its a good value. This amp is better for either driving a sub provided its RMS does not exceed 450w. Its unlikely this amp puts out what it says...hence why CEA specs are so important.
I used to power component speakers (also from boss) It does the job great, put out little heat with the puss fan running. Put a sub to this bad boy and watch the heat come off of it. Might help if kenwood wasn't keen on looks and more on heat dissipation...but this is an older model so Im being nice here.
I know the amp doesn't put out its specs because I measured the current consumption at 12v and did some math...plus just look at its fuses (usually an instant tell)
All in all, if you have the coin and like kenwood, ditch this guy and buy a 4-channel. You can use 2 channels for speakers and bridge the other two for your subwoofer. This amp is only good for power a sub but best for speakers.

Pioneer 800w (not sure of the model but it was like 3 ft long...so its old)

Strengths: high power...coolin fan.. very adjustable
Summary: in the time that i have owned this amp ive never had issues wit it.... ive blown a couple of subs that were 1200 watts plus and ...WOW.. holy crap...i would recomend this sub to everybody
Weaknesses: It's embarrassing to tell Car Audio enthusiasts your using a Kenwood amp... that is until they hear it
Summary: For the record I have always bashed Kenwood. Won't touch their decks or subs or speakers. BUT,I've had this amp for 5 years. I Bought it on sale at FutureShop for $200, which at the time was a huge discount, and was the only reason I got it. This f***in thing is a sub serial killer. In 5 years it's murdered a 12" Kaption, a 12" Fusion, a 12" Eclipse, a 10" Pioneer, a 12" Alpine Type S, two 10" Clarion XW series, and it's most recent victim a 10" Alpine Type R (rated for 1500W max, and 500 rms) in only 6 days, with the bass boost off, and the LPF all the way down. I'm thinking of an Alpine Type X or a JL Audio W7, because nothing I have put it against with ratings that match have been able to handle this things murderous rampage. You can bash Kenwood's decks and subs, but this amp is dangerous, and for $125 you cannot go wrong.
Summary: I purchased this amp to replace an old kicker amp that was messing up. I have two audiobahn 12's and this amp pushes them perfectly. I can be heard for about five minutes before im seen. The cooling fan also does a good job. The amp has never once overheated or even got hot for that matter. Well worth the buy, i have yet to have a problem with this amp!
Strengths: un real power! good looking neon light when you turn it on! awsome fan to keep it cool!
Weaknesses: over heated ounce........but i had it on 4 a good hour.
Summary: greAT AMP! coundlent ask for any thing better! it pounds so hard! my subs are 12" american pro VS model and they handel 1000 watts max at 2 ohms. this amp pushes they very well! i can be herd from a few blocks away and it rattles every thing! my rear view miror is lose! i recomend this amp!
