Review 1 of 9

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Traded for a 4ch amp

Year / Model Reviewed:
1996 Ford Aspire

Strengths:
Great power. Using it to drive all my door speakers, Have used it for bass when my kenwood monoblock died and DIDNT even notice the KAC 9104D was not in.. Hold on to this amp if you got it

Weaknesses:
YOU MUST LOOK AT OHMS, If you throw 2 subs are 2ohms its not gonna sound good, because although its 2ohm STEREO stable, ots only 4 Ohm stable bridged! Which really isnt a weakness. If using 2 subs then connect the DVC so each sub is 8 ohms

Summary:
Other then making sure the amp sees the correct impedence. These are wonderful, and unlike that new false rating crap.. its marked 400, but actually max is 800 according to the service (Repair) manual. I also added a external electronic crossover to make vocals SCREAM!

Similar Products Used:
KAC 9104D, all the smaller kenwood amps, my deck, and eq is kenwood. All but their crappy subs

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 KAC-927 OLD SCHOOL

Strengths:
They never Die....
Way under rated...
Nice big cooling fans..
BANG for the buck..

Weaknesses:
BIG AS MOTHER LOL
Weight just under 10lbs lol
Not so easy to find anymore

Summary:
All I can Say is I've had this trucker for like 9 years and it just wont die...It thumps everything you hook it up too..... My buddys RF 800 was bumped out and if I did not see that for myself I would not belive it eather. Try one and see for yourself if its as good as mine you will be more than happy I have yet to see a 800 watt (it says 400watt)come close for the money!

Review 4 of 9

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 KAC 927

Strengths:
Power Quality Build Dual Cooling fans

Weaknesses:
NONE

Summary:
I cannot believe that people are saying that this amp sucks. I have used this on just about every combination of sub configuration you can think of and I have had absolutely nothing but outstanding performance. One 15, one 12, two 12s, three 10s I mean you name it. Right now it is powering one 12 and the bass is just insane. I have had at least 3 years of use and someone owned it before I did, and to me that is a good product. If you come across one of these I would recommend that you but it, and dont listen to the bad reviews. Most people dont even know what an ohm is and most likely fry amps by not paying attention to this very important limitation. Excellent Amp!!!

Review 5 of 9

Price Paid:  $100.00 from used, from a friend

Summary:
This thing says 400 watts, but it doesnt sound like it. Ive got it hooked up to 2 12" JL audio subs that are able to stand up to 1500 watts, and this thing makes them jump like crazy. I didnt pay much for this amp, but i got a steal. havent had much problems out of it other than when i crank it, but it DEF puts out 400, if not somehow more...
