$0.00 Year / Model Reviewed: Lanzar VHC1200 Summary: LOOKS!~!~!
This amplifier is built pretty sturdy. You have 4-30 amp fuses, a total of 120 fuse rating so you know it's putting out those 1100 watts it's stating. Amplifier is HIGH CURRENT so it's stable into loads of 1 ohm.
On one side you have you power terminals which accept 4 gauge power and negative cables. The remote accepts 12 gauge and also the speaker terminals. The opposite side you ave your RCA inputs. Their is RCA output to daisy chain your amplifiers. You have low pass, high pass crossovers also.
It's amplifier heatsinks are black with brush aluminum on the ends. It has a cooling fan located in the middle of the amlifier with an awesome brush aluminum VHC logo. The amplifier has overhang on the ends to hide your wiring. All in all a very good looking amplifier.
PERFORMANCE!~!~!
I am running two Lanzar Opti 1232D 12" subwoofers, powered by this amplifier. Box is built with 1.2 cubic ft. sealed chambers.
Amplifier is stated @ 2 x 240 watts rms into 4 ohms, 2 x 400 watts rms into 2 ohms, 2 x 550 watts rms into 1 ohms, and 1100 watts rms into 2 ohms bridge mono. I have no way of testing this equipment to show much wattage it really puts out but it must be doing a lot. The Lanzar Opti subs does not starve with this amplifier. The more you turn the knob the louder it gets without breaking a sweat. By all means it is not a sound quality amplifier. It is for people looking for SPL. It is not a class D amplifier. So it's not that efficient. Use a 1.5 farad capacitor with it. If you are looking for amplifier to rock your block with out busting your bank. Give this amplifier a try. It's better than the Vibe series and looks better too. The only problem I could find with it was the amplifier fan can be really annoying. But when you got that music pumping who could hear that stupid fan anyways. Strengths: Power is stated what it does! LOOKS COOLS! Take off the cover of the heatsink you will be amazed. Weaknesses: Noisey FAN!!!!!!! Similar Products Used: Earthquake, Rockford Fosgate, MTX, Fusion
