Review 1 of 3 , from North Stonington, CT United St

Price Paid:  $50.00 from used from friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 LA-290

Strengths:
Good Power. Low current draw. CHEEP.

Weaknesses:
Bad Sound Quality. NOT BRIDGEABLE. Cheep gain controlls.

Summary:
Not a sub amp. I have it running 2 10" Pioneer's and 2 12" Jensen's in the trunk of my 1986 Pontiac Bonneville. I reciently removed my headliner due to vibration noise. I can run it for 6 hours with the engine off with no fear of not bieng able to start my car. I feed it with 10 awg cable straight to the battery up front. I have a Kenwood X-469 deck, Powerbase 5" in the doors, and Kenwood 6x9" in the back. My friend who has been to many contests thinks i might hit 130db ant the dash. I think it sounds good. This amp has made me realize I need dynomat before I get any better sub/amp package. (I am looking at 2 12" Power Acoustik FUBR's in a bandpass box with the new LT-1920 amp.)

Review 2 of 3 , from Caroline, Va

Price Paid:  $90.00 from convention

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
Chrome polished finish kept it cool. Decent output on all frequencies.

Weaknesses:
Didn't have the external loudness for the bass enthusiast. Not bridgable.

Summary:
It's a decent amp. It is a good amp for some one who wants to add a bit of punch in their ride. I had it pushing two Thump 12's. They hit pretty clean untill the volume was around 90%. I would recommend it most for pushing a good set of 6x9's. they treble output was very satisfying.
