Price Paid:  $299.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 MB Quart RAA1000

Summary:
This thing is underrated. It powers L7's at 1ohm with ease, and the clipping indicator doesn't even turn on. It's real stable, and so loud, we woke up bats in a nearby mountain and they came to our neighborhood.

Clean sound, much cleaner than the MA Audio 1400w that just blew...more like 1400w @ 1 ohm with hella distortion!

Strengths:
Pros: Rock solid, stable, series/parallel wire inputs, underated power, clean sound, stable to 1ohm, very efficient, does not burn up; top mounted indicator lights and adjustable Q, and crossover. Purchased for 60% off retail.

Weaknesses:
Cons: No support, since these amps were discounted deeply after the divorce of Rockford Fosgate and MB Quart. Missing some terminal screws, and I called crutchfield, but used ones from nearby shop. Would have been inefficient to have a tiny terminal screw shipped, even though it should not have been missing. Crutchfield would have shipped it if I called them again. But no bother. love the amp.

Similar Products Used:
MA Audio, PPI PC275, Alphasonik back in 90's, Phoenix Gold. This amp is rock solid like the old ppi and pg's. not an MA Audio fan, and the Alphasonik was mediocre after discovering ppi and pg amps.
