from The Wireless Zone (l Year / Model Reviewed: 2003 Tantrum 500.2 Strengths: *Stable at low impedances
*Under-rated from the factory
*Seems to deliver good, clean power
*VERY efficiency design
*Voltage regulated Weaknesses: *Spikey edges on the heatsink... not that it really matters. Summary: Having been around mobile audio for a while, I wanted something to over-power a single 12" driver. The birthsheet from PG said this amplifier would do a good, clean 535 watts bridged at 4 ohms, which I felt was perfect for a single Phoenix Tantrum. I keep the gains and non-fade no more than half, and the woofer enjoys full-range of motion and plenty of dampening power. I could easily add another woofer with this amplifier, but the single 12 is all I need for the back of my Jeep. Since I have so much power on-tap, everything runs cool and distortion-free.
