Review 2 of 15

Price Paid:  $200.00 from ebay

Strengths:
Very stable, can take alot of abuse, stylis clean look, will do whatever you ask of it, ease of use, hook it up and forget about it.

Weaknesses:
I have not found any weaknesses yet

Summary:
The ZX 600 was probably the best amp on the market when it came out in 01. It is extremely underated. It says its 600 watts but thats 600 watts into 4ohm stereo and its bridgable into 1ohm stereo which more than doubles the power output. I built a system in 01 with a zx600ti and two JL Audio W6 DVC 15's all hooked up with 0gauge power and ground and it was unreal. The guy I built it for ended up putting it in another car and by no means is it hooked up properly. Its just siting in the trunk and it has a 10gauge power and ground hooked up and its been that way for over 3 years and it still beats. Its all scratched up and dented and its even been wet a few times and it still rocking. Its probably seen about as much abuse as an amp can see and its still kicking. The zx600 will walk all over most high end amps even ones made today. Im my openion it was the last of the bad ass amps. They just don't build them like that anymore. I love that amp so much I bought a brand new one still wrapped in plastic and in the original box with the birth certificate and all paperwork on ebay for $200. I lucked out on that deal. I cant wait to put it in my Si.

Review 3 of 15

Price Paid:  $0.00 from family

Year / Model Reviewed:
 phoenix gold zx600ti

Strengths:
awesome power, awesome looks, never overheats

Weaknesses:
none because i didnt have to pay for it

Summary:
So my cousin gave me this amp when i was new to the system world. I didnt know who Phoenix Gold was and figured they were just some knockoff brand. When I hooked it up, I found out how stupid/wrong I was. I'm only using some Sony XS-121P5 subs, and with my bass/sub level all theway down on the cd receiver it knocks like crazy. I have a tsunami 2 farad capacitor that is supposed to handle 1000 watts and it uses up much of that. I know they've discontinued these amps, but if you can find a second hand one in good condition i'd definitely recommend it. Blue triangle LEDs look nice wiht a blue lighting scheme as well.
