Price Paid:  $150.00 from Audio Vibe

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 OV2 300

Strengths:
Affordable, powerful for it's size, flexible, both types of inputs, 2 ohm stable, bass boost, very clean sounding.

Weaknesses:
None.

Summary:
I have this amplifier driving a single 10" PowerAcoustik BL 10 subwoofer in a 1.5 cu ft box in a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3. I have it operating in Mono, and under a 2 ohm load (both voice coils wired together). I love the fact that this amp was such an affordable price, it looks like it's worth more than what you actually pay for it, and man is it flexible. You can use it as a 3,2, or 1 channel amp, has a 12+db bass boost, HP/LP filter with a rotary cutoff switch, a nice blue power indicator on the front, high and low level inputs (I'm using the high level inputs from my factory speakers), and it's 2ohm stable, even in mono. This little amp sure cranks out some decent power without breaking a sweat. I can easily drive my 10 without any strain to either the amp or the sub, and I don't even need to have my gain any higher than the "10 o'-clock" position. This amp has both sheer slam, and lots of finesse and fidelity...no matter what your taste or listening style, this litle amp can perform well with whatever you throw at it. I'd definately recommend this little amp to anyone working on a budget and limited space in a car like I was. I've already had people ask me what I've got in my car, and they looked shocked when they see just this little amp on the back of a box with a single 10". I've had no problems whatsoever with it, and I'm actually wondering if I should have mounted it off the box since the chrome panel on the front looks so nice with the blue light, especially at night or sunset.
