Review 1 of 31

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Punch 250.2

Summary:
A very good little amp. I have it running two Infinity Reference 3 way 6X9's, and it powers them well. It provides nice tight bass in a small little package. I also had it hooked up to an MTX 10 inch in addition to the Infinity's, and it rattled the inside of my house from the garage. Not bad. It isn't made to push a decent sized subwoofer.

Strengths:
Good power in a small package. Good looks. Easy to work with.

Weaknesses:
Even though others push two subs with it, it really isn't made for that.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
got this amp cheap of a mate with two rockford 12s goes hard ive got it running 2ohm mono and goes fine doesnt shut off or any thing. gives wicked distortion free sound that rips any off my mates sound systems i would recommend this amp 2 anyone although its a bit pricey new its still worth it as its heaps better than any cheaper higher rated amps. this amps definatly putting out more than the 250rms its ment to. looks cool small so can be hidden away so it wont get stolen. easy to connect no tricky plugs or anything needed. this amp really isnt 4 competition use 4 ur subs if u wanted to compete properly u would probably want to go up a couple of models to get a bit more power. overall wicked amp will stay with rockford from now on

Strengths:
puts out good power underated destorion free quality sound wicked amp

Weaknesses:
its not offically stable at 2ohm mono

Similar Products Used:
pioneer sony etc

Review 3 of 31

Price Paid:  $200.00 from online

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Summary:
I have used this amp for about 10 months now, in three different setups. The birthsheet for it says 430 watts. A lot more than i expected considering its a punch "250". This is seriously the best amp I''ve ever owned, and I wasn''t expecting much out of it. This amp is what made me stay with Rockford, and I bought all Rockford gear from that point on. I have it running two 10" Punch HE''s, and they MOVE. I''ve also had it run the 2000 punches, Polk DX''s, JBL''s, and Kickers. I ''ve always had better luck with Rockfords though. And, I have had the two HE''s (4 ohm) bridged, and its been this way the last 5 months. Used to shut off, but I lowered the gains a bit, and it hasnt shut off since.

Strengths:
A lot more wattage than expected. Built in crossover. Bass boost. LOUD!!

Weaknesses:
price if anything. I paid about 200 brand new, and for about an extra 50 you could get a used JBL 1200.1

Similar Products Used:
RF, Kicker, Polk, JBL, Profile

Review 4 of 31

Price Paid:  $75.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Punch250a2

Summary:
This amp is awesome! A friend was selling it for 75 dollars so I thought I''d give it a shot, an excellent move. I''ve had it hooked to 2 15"punch xlc''s(hit 135db''s in extremly large suv),2 15"JL w0''s, and 2 12"solobarics. I wish I had the certification sheet that showed how many watts this thing atcually put out. I recommend Rockford fosgate amps to anyone!

Strengths:
Put out tremendous power! I had this bridged into 2 ohms with power gains and Punch Bass all the way up and it never once shut off! No distortion was ever audible either

Weaknesses:
None for me. Maybe price if you buy it new, but I recommend not buying the new models because they''re not as underrated as the older ones

Similar Products Used:
None

Review 5 of 31

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Fry''s Electronics

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001/Rockford Punch 250.2

Summary:
I got a great deal on this amp. Bought from a store that was deciding to get rid of the Fosgate line. I have it bridged to a Boston Pro 10.5LF and it pushes it pretty good. the ratings are never true for the fosgate amps. mine was rated at 250RMSx1 and the actual was 408RMSx1!!!! Love the remote punch bass that way you can adjust it to certain songs. and you can mount the control virtually anywhere you want in the vehicle. no distortion from the amp at all. good buy!

Strengths:
Powerful!!!!!, Remote Punch Bass.

Weaknesses:
None so far!

Similar Products Used:
Premier PRS-X320 (that amp ruled too!, although the fosgate is a little better with the crossover)
