Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $420.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 RFX 8130

Summary:
No frills deck. Very Plain and simple to look at, but this unit is all about sound quality.

I used to run an Alpine 7939R which was £700 ($900-1000), and I had very little expectation that the Rockford unit which was half the price of the Alpine could sound better, but it was way more detailed and clearer. I was amazed.

Strengths:
Amazing sound quality for the cash; only matched by the Nakamichi 45z, and Denons $1200 deck.
Simple to operate, although it still has many useful features too.

Weaknesses:
No RDS. Only 2.4v pre-outs. Not ISO ready.

I have been threw three decks so I guess my over all impression is not good. Im just lucky I had insurance on it, however my year is up now who knows whats next.

Strengths:
it plays strong when it plays and its got all the frilly buttons and lights.

Weaknesses:
if the cd is in ther too long it gets stuck some times im listing to the cd and it switches to the radio.

Review 4 of 5

Summary:
Paid $149 for it at Audio King on sale. Normaly $249 though. Great sound for the money.

Strengths:
Easy intall, and very easy to use with lots of features.

Weaknesses:
I've had some troble with the CD player skipping when hitting large bumps in the road. Probably has to do more with how it mounted in my car than the the deck thou, there was nothing to attach it to in back.
