from local shop Year / Model Reviewed: 1999 Rockford Fosgate power 1100a2 Strengths: Lots and lots of power at 2 ohms stereo. There is no need to go to 1 ohm if you dont need to. Weaknesses: None Summary: I have been looking for an amplifier to hook up to my HE2s for awhile now. At first I was using a Kenwood KAC7251 and it knocked my woofers around and then I tried the 801S and it blew on me (I guess it was because it was one of the new Rockford Fosgate amps)and then I came across the Rockford Fosgate 1100a2 and man what a difference between the kenwood and the rockford amp. I have this thing running stereo on my woofers down to 2 ohms a channel and man does it make my woofer bang. I am too scared to out the 4 ohm mono to it because I think it is going to tear my woofers apart. It is putting out 550 watts RMS at 2 ohms to my woofers and the woofers are rated at 400 watts rms and 800 max. This dang thing just pound the living crap out of them and that all I have to say about that. Oh yeah, I love the remote bass option two. I am using the remote from the 801S. Similar Products Used: Rockford Fosgate Punch 200a2, 351M, 801S and Crossfire 1000D which don't even come close.
