Nice silver & red colour scheme Weaknesses: It's... a Sony. Weak brand name. Summary: Great for the low, low price of only $160. It actually does the wattage its rated for (the MOSFET power helps with that no other Sonys had it at this time) and its not peak wattage either (like the 760 watt)... it also has extremely low THD (<0.05%) and a capable low-pass filter (variable from 50Hz-300). Tremendous amp for the cost... it really wants to save itself though if you subs clip for more then 5-10 seconds straight it will go into thermal shutdown, just restart your car and it goes back to normal.
Used driving two Rockford Punch Z 10's (silver cone 200w RMS each) at 2 ohms for 600 watts between the two subs. They blow... all the time. It is a budget amp after all. Similar Products Used: Rockford 200M (too expensive for worse SQ and bad current draw), JBL 200 (crap), JL 500x1 & W6's (stolen!)
