Price Paid:  $219.00 from millionbuy.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Rubicon 600-4

Strengths:
price to performance ratio was great. for 219.00 from millionbuy.com you cant beat that. puts out what it's rated at and can be driven hard for long durations without shutting down. high current capable but have not tried it before.

Weaknesses:
none. you get what u pay for. i wouldnt buy it for a price above 300.00 though. huge current draw on small cars.

Summary:
The rubicon 600-4 is a good amp for your 4 channel setup. i keep hearing bad reviews about soundstream new line, but i can't distinguish the difference this amp and my friend's old reference 604 amp. They are both good amps. I've never had any overheating problems. the clipping lights come on sometimes because I play my amp hard and honda civics do not supply enough current for big amps. I don't like to run amps in high current mode so this amp will last. I'm current runnin my whole system off this amp until my rubicon 500-2 comes in. channel 1 and 2 are each bridged in stereo mode 2ohm to the 4 coaxials in the car. channel 3 and 4 are bridged mono(4ohm) to my single phoenix gold titanium 15" subwoofer. the subs are underdriven currently but when i get the rubicon 500-2 bridged that should satisfy my sub.

Similar Products Used:
rockford fosgate punch 200, lanzar optidrive 500, phoenix gold ms275. all are old school amps and are excellent products.
