Price Paid:  $125.00 from millionbuy.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 EGA4120

Strengths:
Classy looking amp. Tons of power. RMS power is not overrated like so many amps are becoming. Sound quality is great, no noticeable noise. Crossovers are great making this super flexible to fit in any system. Features (crossover, bass boost, phase shift, etc) are identical across the entire Edge line of amps. Awesome value!

Weaknesses:
Larger than expected. Check the size at soundstream.com to make sure it will fit in your application. User manual kind of thin and not real helpful, luckily each connection is labeled well making it easy and intuitive to install and configure.

Summary:
Very classy, chrome with brushed aluminum chassis(see photo at soundstream.com). Flexible hp and lp crossovers that are both continously variable. Bass boost switch. Phase shift variable from 0 to 180. Line-out pass though RCAs for daisy chaining. No audible noise. Lots of power. Probably under-rated because it is easily produces it's rated RMS power. No exaggeration in power ratings here. This thing is true to it's manufactures specs. Sound quality is top-notch. The amp is larger than expected, but I believe that's certainly better than those el cheapo amps with "2000 Watts" written across the front that are only a 6 inch by 6 inch square. Be sure to check out the Edge amp photos on soundstream.com because the photos here and on millionbuy are not what these amps look like. In fact there is a ton of good info on these amps at soundstream.com. Soundstream is definitely making a comeback, and these Edge amps really make a serious statement that they are committed to being back on top.
