Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $190.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Rockford/Fosgate

Summary:
great features, love mp3 capability, simpler controls would be helpful

Strengths:
MP3 capability, adequate stand alone power, flashy looks, removable face helps when convertible top left down when parked, am reception quite good, like song titles display

Weaknesses:
lousy fm reception, *may be due to rubber euro type antenna, buttons and labels too small to see, requires taking eyes off the road to operate some times. Would prefer rotary tuning knob as well, hard to locate stations

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $219.00 from www.cbrstereo.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001 RFX9000

Summary:
I've only used the MP3 mode because I can stuff 150+ good quality songs on a CD-R. Sound quality is excellent. Rotary volume is a must as well as Joliet filename support. It's so cool to have the song title and artist displayed while listening to the songs. This is the best car MP3 player out there right now.

Strengths:
Audible FF/RW in MP3 mode Track search by number or name Fast track to track access Joliet filename support 29 characters of filename are scrolled

Weaknesses:
Blinding silver faceplate no ID3 tag support (may be a plus) reasons: -ID3 tags slow track to track access -filename displays this info adequately

Similar Products Used:
Sony MP450X (possibly the worst car MP3 player) Kenwood MP8017 (no rotary volume, sloowww)
