Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $200.00 from S&J Trading of Escan

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Alpine CDA-7864

Summary:
Extreme sound quality, I was blown away with 60watts times four, Love the tilt screen, Awesome display, The blue fit right in with my cars theme.

Strengths:
POWER!! I am using it in my Pontiac Fiero and for all who know them the radio is lower to the middle of the car and with the tilt screen its perfect!!!!

Weaknesses:
Well I shouldnt call it a weakness but now I rate all cd players against this one and so far no other is close!! :)

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $420.00 from Al and Ed''s

Summary:
Awesome reciever, no problems w/ the swing face however the swing is unecessary. Great power and amazing sound quality and clarity. Great alpine look and the silver and blue is much better than the lower models black and green. Have it hooked up to a clarion 4-channel running boston 6.5 rally compnents up front and boston 5.25 coaxials in the back and it sounds great.

Strengths:
60x4 is plenty of power to not use an amp but it is highly recommended. Great, sound, display, looks, etc.

Weaknesses:
Swing mechanism is useless unless reciever sits extremely low in car.

Overall, this is one of the best cd receivers out there.

Strengths:
Plays CDRs effortlessly and almost never skips. The illuminescent display looks incredible at night. Remote control works well. The built in crossover controls are great. They give a tremendous amount of control over the sound coming out of your speakers.
