Strength:

Pre-amp outputs, eq controls, and high/low pass crossovers.

Weakness:

Recently, I have been unable to adjust the sub output, as if the button wasn't working. After 8yrs of use, things could be much worse.

I have been using this unit for the past 8 years. I have really loved its robustness and quality sound. Overall, I am extremely happy with this hu.

Strength:

-Power and no. of outputs. -Ease of use and installation. -Bright easy to read display

Weakness:

-Fairly average radio reception -I feel it looks a bit dated now but with everything it's got going for it that really isn't enough to make me want to swap it.

Absolutely love this unit, only grief is with the radio reception but I have found that this is true of all Alpine heads. It pumps out a masive 4 volt pre-out for the sub which is more than enough to power my kicker solo baric 12 inch square combined with a jbl monoblock. Reads all my cd'rs and ive got my mobile hooked in too with a handy cut-sound feature. Loving the aux input aswell which handles my ipod easily, but can also do tv and games consoles! The unit even powers a couple of footwell neons for me! Overall, more than enough head than you'll ever need :)

looks nice sounds great not to expensive

Weakness:

will skip if you have lots of bass

This is a decent head unit to have for the normal person who wants a moderate system, looks nice sound great and retail is not to expensive....however if you have a serious system "like me" with alot of bass this unit will not be able to handle it and the songs will skip.

The built in bbe is awesome.

Weakness:

None I could find.

This player has been the best unit I've ever used. Installed in a 95 honda accord with stock speakers and it sounded awesome. The functionality is amazing and the built in bbe processor (for those that know how to use it) transformed my audio and brought amazing warmth and clarity. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a good head. It has plenty of power, great features, and great sound with good tonal shaping ability.

I have not found any yet and I hope I never do.

I've had this unit for only 1 week but I love it. It works wonders in my system. I've never heard the soundstaging and dynamics in a car that I'm hearing now. The rest of my system is: Alpine 11 band EQ Alpine F-340 4 ch amp Alpine 12 disc changer Diamond Audio M-361i 6.5" coax Diamond Audio M-391i 6x9" coax Kicker 8" 100W subwoofer box

Strength:

Good CD sound and bass controls. No problems with CD-R's or CD-RW's.

Weakness:

If you have a problem, service is terrible. One day a CD got stuck in the deck. It was in the shop for 9 weeks waiting for parts that never came. They had no idea when the parts would come in. So I'm buying a new unit, and it WON'T be an alpine.

Good sounding unit when it worked.

Everything, This deck is great it has everything you will ever need for extreme tuning and complete expandability. NICE display!

Weakness:

Does not come with a remote. Needs to be purchased seperatly but is well worth it!!

I bought this from a new dealer www.InStyleAudio.com and LOVE it! They were doing a custom install promotion and I couldnt pass it up. This Deck made everything like twice as loud and much more clear. The sub outputs ROCK.

I have had many CD players and this one Exceeds them all. ALPINE is the best! They may cost a little more but they are WELL worth it.

Strength:

Sound quality, Long list of features

Weakness:

Poor design

I received this as a Christmas gift from my parents. I picked it out. I liked the fact that it had high pass and low pass crossovers, and a level control for the sub output. I was really impressed with the sound quality of the internal 60x4 amp although I seriously doubt it's making anywhere near that rated 60 watts. The amp is pretty clean, even at high volumes. Despite all the nice features of this unit, I have been very disappointed with it due to the fact that I've experienced many problems with it. I've read about the same problems on other reviews on this model and other similar Alpine models. Sometimes when I press a button, the whole unit turns itself off. One day it wouldn't let me adjust the level output to my subs. For about a week the BBE feature left the menu. The problems started about 6 months after I got it. I also recommened an Alpine unit to a friend (before mine started having problems) and I very much regret advising him to purchase one. He has the exact same unit I do, except it's a newer model. He's had the same basic problems I've had. Overall, I've been very disappointed with the lack of quality in this unit. I will never purchase another Alpine product.
