Strength:

Sound Quality! All the ways you can adjust the sound to fit your tastes. Looks

Weakness:

The blue lights on the front are way too bright, but only if you pay attention to it. The front plate kinda makes a mreeeeep sound when it shuts...but it has done that for a year and a half and it's fine.

First it is a great sounding deck...period, it is said you cannot hear the difference between head units, they obviously havent heard this one. I noticed it as soon as I hooked it up and first turned it on. NICE!! It has a ton of features, not the easiest deck to learn how to navigate. Very easy to tailor the sound with all the control.

Strength:

-display blackout & outboard dc/dc converter help produce clean, noiseless output -face tilts 4 positions; can eliminate outside glare/reflection -love the time correction; ability to manipulate soundstage -bass control w/frequency AND width adjustment, HPF, LPF & sub output control provides excellent tweaking possibilities -displays titles plus has ability to title FM stations -variety of MX compensation adjustment for each source -aux input w/several EQ options -display color changes to red in adjustment modes -volume KNOB (not buttons) -very clean, solid, noiseless output

Weakness:

-blue lighting too bright at night even in dim/autodim modes (blackout function only works on display, not button lights) -moderately steep learning curve

Real sweet unit! In general I usually don't go for models with all the bells and whistles, but the 7995 provides mega-features PLUS really great sound quality.

Want display the whole file name of mp3's

This is a great radio. Lots of features and has great adjustments for almost any audiophile. Has almost any setup you could look for in a radio. Nice display and I like the angle adjustments. Searchs mp3s very quickly.

Strength:

Sound quality...it's an Alpine. MP3 read speed

Weakness:

Nothing real major.

Excellent deck...replaced a Pioneer DEH-P7300 (which I was happy with actually). This deck really blew it away though, especially in terms of sound quality. I also like the speed of how quickly it changes through mp3 files on a disc. When compared to other brands, this is extremely fast. I honestly have no urge to get rid of this deck. Yes, it is kind of pricey, but if you run external amps and want an excellent sounding source unit, this should be considered, highly

Strength:

CLEAR SOUND!!!! SQ!! Large range of soundstaging.

Weakness:

There's no number in the remote so if you want to play a MP3 song #100 you have to tab the FF button 99 times, if you start the song from song #1.

I bought this unit for a replacement of my old cd player (pioneer 7300) And I tell you how amazed I was when the first time I listen to the sound this headunit Produce. VERY CLEAN!!! Moreover no hissing, a large range of sound staging. Don't forget about SQ!! A little bit expensive but I think it worth the money. MP3 sound is not as good as a regular CD.
