Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 DRX 7575 Z

Strengths:
Great looks, easy to manage and the sound and features are one of a kind.

Weaknesses:
The only weakness I have seen on the HU is the power ribbon that connects the face to the deck will get loose from wear and tear. From what my installer says, its common in these types of decks. The deck won't sit in the proper place but still plays when the face is down. it is a bummer.

Summary:
Nothing else to say but GREAT! If your looking for a deck with lots of power then the buck stops here. The appearance is great looking, the functions are easy to locate. I didn't even need to look at the manual. Though I finally did when I wanted to start labelling my cd's. Reads all my CD-R's with out a problem. I've seen a lot of decks since then and I still believe that this one is better. I really like the fact that I could hook up other multimedia to it. Does everything that I need.

Review 3 of 5

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Clarion drx-7575z

Strengths:
3 sets of 4 volt ouput with non fading sub
dot matrix display
rotary control
build quality is pretty good
decent deck power
the romote is a nice size...forget those skimpy credit card remotes that get lost
good signal to noise ratio

Weaknesses:
i only wish i had 8 volt pre amp outputs...but only a few have that many volts

Summary:
It has good looks...not too plain , not too outrageous.
I was looking for performance on a budget, and i found it with this gem. It may not have eq gizmos that manipulate the sound, but a head unit isnt suppose to have processing....if it does it adds noise and usually does a crappy job. If you want a head that adds cheesy eq settings, this isnt your head unit.

ill give it five stars...especailly for the money. (paid 210)

Review 4 of 5

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1984 Ford Mustang

Strengths:
Attractive display
Great sound quality
Expansion capabilities
Ease of use of controls/features
3 sets of RCA outs
Reads all my CD-R's without haste

Weaknesses:
Interface took a little while to become accustomed to, but great now.

Summary:
I went out searching for the deck that could do everything for me, and this is the deck I came up with. I paid $290 new from a dealer (with a 5 year extended warranty), and am I ever glad I went with this deck. The sound quality is impressive from this deck. Z-enhancers are a neat feature that let you change settings with little work. If I so desire, I can add CD changers, multimedia, or just about anything from the Clarion catalog; the CeNet is a nice thing to have. The display is attractive, easy to see in both day and night, and leaves nothing to be desired. It is not overcomplicated or overly flashy, but still draws attention. Overall I am very happy with this head unit, and would recommend it to anyone (if you can still find it).

Review 5 of 5

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99

Strengths:
plays good and clean all the way up to about 25\35
z-enhancer is nice for anything but rap.
3 sets of preamp outs...one can be switched to a multimedia input (VCR's & video screens for a full multimedia system)

Weaknesses:
Not enough features for tweakability.

Summary:
i payed $289 and i am VERY satisfied with it. I wouldnt pay any more for it and i wouldnt settle for anything less. I reccomend this for anybody that is serious about their system and wants a good HU that sends 3 sets of 4volt preamps and has a multimedia input for VCR or video screens.

This is the lowest clarion IN-Dash CD that has dot matrix display. I love the looks but some people say clarions are ugly.
