Strengths:
Lots of features

Weaknesses:
In the shop 3 times 7 band ieq sub out and gets very hot

Summary:
I got this deck for its looks and its features but as my system started to upgrade i started to notice some huge flaws in this deck fist would be the sub out they suck they made my subs sound s^^^y as hell and the 7band ieq i also hate it made tunning some parts of my system a pain in the ass but some of the cool things is the time adjustable dimmer and the downloadable picit another flaw of this deck is it has an angled face option which is another reason i got it but with the face at its max angle and my subs playin it would shake soo much that it would dilodge a piece deep in the deck and wouldnt eject cds it was in the shop 3 times for this now i keep the angle at its lowest and hasent f^^^^d up since

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 JVC SH9750

Strengths:
Price I paid and it is better than the stock head unit.

Weaknesses:
Overall performance. No cut offs for frequencies except for the built in analyzer. Weak bass response. My son's low line JVC sounds better than this.

Summary:
I purchased this deck in conjunction with an MP3 changer and placed it in my wife's 300M. While the deck looks nice and sounds better than the stock head unit, we are disappointed in the overall performance of the deck. We cannot get any serious bass on this despite going through the owner's manual and playing with this for hours. We have yet to figure out how to load our own screensavers onto the deck and my wife is a whiz with this type of stuff. I don't feel too bad about this purchase as I saved some serious money on it, but I would not have paid the retail price for this. This specs are clean and it is a good looking unit, but the performance is lacking.

Similar Products Used:
I have an Eclipse in my Hemi and the performance of it is greatly superior to the JVC. Also used Kenwood. For my money, Eclipse is the better unit.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Future Shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 JVC KD SH9750

Strengths:
-meantioned above

Weaknesses:
-if i could do it again i would certainly look to buy this deck somewhere on the net instead of from a store...if u could score this deck for 200-250 ur laughing... -also mentioned above

Summary:
A really cool deck to say the least. During the first month of use I would have to say the design was flawless...Great sound quality, 3 sets of standard RCA full 4-volt preouts (which I needed), mp3, wma, Cd-R/RW compatible, PICT technology (allows u to load your own short video clips and pictures to ur music folders/unit hard disk to be displayed during playback during power on/off of the unit), hot chrome finish, tons of extra sh*t to play with; built in equalizer, digital sound processing system, BBE technology, etc... After a couple months using the deck though I noticed a couple design flaws that would most certainly expect them to correct on their next line of receivers. My only two complaints are that u should be able to enter songs in a cue (make a pre-defined playlist) and u should be able to browse any folder on a Cd during playback instead of only the music folder currently being used. Other than these two issues the deck is great, lots of fun to play with especially if u have a full system (subs, amps, component speakers, etc)

Similar Products Used:
This was a replacement deck for an old Eclipse 5430 which which was stolen along with the rest of my system...the two dont even compare, the new technological advances incorporated into the JVC makes it the more superior deck without question.
